well on a recent trip from chi town to STL with 500 lbs of stuff in the trunk and a passenger my pretty much stock 2.73 A4 got 25mpg cuising around 80mph most of the time. Another drive to STL without the big weight and passenger I got 27mpg at the same speeds.

I now average about 22mpg on the tank, when i do long road trips ive seen up around 25mpg, and i usually cruise at 85. Sad thing is, my mom mentioned she gets 23 normally per tank on her PT cruiser.

Also for reference, 12.5 all motor, 11.1 on the bottle.

4.10s, 3500 stall, 295/50 rear & 165R15 front tires, most boltons, full weight car minus front sway bar & plus a 250lb driver, stock tuning.

city: 16-19mpg on average. best ever was 20.4mpg

hwy: I've never calculated strictly hwy miles. But drove 60 miles to 1/4 track, made 8 passes, drove 60 miles home and got 24mpg.

mileage was worse with the stock converter...

I have been getting 17 mpg for the last year since I had my Mac headers and magnaflow exhuast installed. I had the car dyno tuned (supposedly) in March but the car is still running rich and getting 17 mpg.

So, 17 mpg for a combination of city and highway. However, before the magnaflow was installed I had a road trip that gave me about 19 mpg. That is why I think they did not tune the car and the fact that I only received one dyno (expected a before and after since I asked for it).

Sorry for the 'bitch' session.

I have a completely stock 2001 Z28 A4 Vert and did a road trip last weekend and got just over 26 mpg highway, average speed of 75-80 mph, and the last two tanks of 80% city driving got over 19.

why would you exclude stalled autos. majority are lockup coverters so that would not affect highway mileage any differently than the oem verter. with that being said mine gets about 29-30mpg on the highway with 3.73s. this was b4 the heads and cam though. havent done the math since then
