Okay , today , I installed the 4th gen gas tank. I wanted to keep use of the charcoal cannister and evap solenoid so I drilled out the rivets that held the fuel pump /fuel level sender harness , made a template and cut a larger hole . Afterwards , touched up the screw holes and bare metal of the cut with POR-15 then installed new harness. Here's the result:
There are 3 seperate plug in this connector you only use two. 3rd is for ABS which I won't be using.
Then I installed the 4th gen tank , it fit perfect . You will need to trim the rubber filler neck down a bit as it is too long.
And finally installed the aluminum 4th gen driveshaft , also fit perfect .

Not a lot to it, just gotta get in there , read up on what you're doing , save your pennies and have at it.If you're mechanically inclined at at all , you CAN do this swap after a little research. I started this thread not to brag but to give other folks a decent guide on how to do this swap. May not be right down to the exact details but it should give you a fair idea.

Look at most of the Spohn catalog for 3rd gens, Eibach Pro kit , BMR adjustable panhard and that's my suspension . I also have a Hawk's tubular K-member.

How's the tubular K-member? I haven't heard anything but problems with cracking welds from the drag racers to a sloppy front-end by the street/track drivers.
That was before they upgraded the K-members to address the problem, I noticed that a lot of them also list it as semi-streetable/race.

It bolted on pretty solid and seems fairly sturdy to me. I bought on of the first ones. I haven't had a chance to test it because we're still at the build point. I was told by other people using the stock A-arms are really difficult to bolt on to the K member . The Spohn tubular A-arms fit really good and they are vastly more stout than the stockers.

I heard good stuff about the A-Arms being tough and nicely made.
How hard is it to get the old k-member out? What kind of tools do you need? When I have money to do this I already plan on getting the k-member and a-arms from Spohn.
