Default How to verify TRUE 2000 Camaro SS

Looking to buy a 2000 SS camaro. It has all the badging and stuff with hood and spoiler but how can I make sure it is REAL "SS" Car? Thanks

Thanks.

Dont need to run the VIN, check the RPO codes on the driver door. Thats in the stickies somewhere

WU8 is for SS i believe and WS6 is for the WS6

a real SS will have the WU8 (SS Performance/Appearance Package) RPO code on the driver's side door sticker. An SS with optional SLP content will also have the Y2Y RPO. Cars with the Y2Y RPO also have a SLP sticker on the passenger door (1998 to 2000) or a a SLP sticker in the engine compartment (RPO CODE=Regular Production Options)
