Default A-Body 6.0/5.3 Ford p/s pulley swap pics

I picked up my p/s pulley today from the junkyard, it is from a 88 Ford E-150 with the straight 6. It is significantly smaller than the GM piece. 88-96 Ford van pulleys should be the same.

Ford pulley is the dirty one

GM pulley, not pressed on

I know people kept saying this would work, but I ended up ditching my truck accessories for vette ones.

Thanks much for the pictures!

Good find, what about the Belt, did the stock belt work or was it too long. did you measure how much short of a belt might work ?

Thanks for trying this. It looks like there is no way the GM pulley would fit. This just saved me a ton of money.

Default good ideal

i like the ideal of the power steering pulley, on the g body with motor mount plates from speed and performances the motor seats as far back but the power steering pulley still hit the gear box due to being so big in size, the ford pulley so solve my problem, thank for the information

What is the GM pully off of? I want to cut the drag off of mine and do not really need it at speed so the smaller one would be a bonus.

I needed a pulley to clear the power steering box of my 77 Camaro. Wound up using a mid-90's pressed-on 5.0 Mustang pulley and a shim for the pump. This would have been good info back in August! :-)

Ford p/n is E7UA 3D673 FB

Us A-body guys need to get together and make the A-body sticky they already said we could, maybe just make a A-body info sticky and post links into it??

yeah we need a sticky with all the info. i have done alot of searching to try and get all the info i can on the a-body swap. also a list of all the places that mod the wiring harnesses would be nice to. so far it looks like im using edelbrocks plates and headers, this ford pulley since im planning on a 5.3/4l60e swap and a kwikperformance ac relocation bracket. also a for sale/wanted section for conversion parts would be nice.

I have used the BRP mounts w/ an lq4 from an 03 van. My Ac and power steering both cleared just fine in my 71 chevelle. Using the 4l80E also...

Definitely need to do an A Body sticky. It would be great to not have to search for little bits and pieces of information all over the website.
