I say cut it up! it only makes all the other ones more valuable! God I hate the "but it's not stock any more" haters. That thing is going to be cool! Keep it up. Let me know if you need any help with GM wiring diagrams. I'm a GM tech. G
thanks i will defiantly keep in touch when i comes to wiring. i got to get a stock harness first.
i will see how well this pan in once i get it on the motor. if it doesnt hold enough oil or i dont like it for some other reason a will waste my money on the really nice turbo time one. i got to try this first though. i got $30 into it.
Awesome job man, its gotta be tough working through everything I know, I have been doing my Swap for a good long time now and im stuck working 7 days a week and school 2 nights a week on top of it. Cant wait to see it done man!
Eviltwin, you're a bad man. I just found a Typhoon on craigslist. The wife will not be happy with me buying another project vehicle just before Xmas.
You're costing me money I could be spending on this swap, 'cause now I HAVE to get her something spectacular.
AH! well. At least the truck is only costing me 6 grand, with a fresh GM replacement short block in it. Hey, anybody know what the motor and trans in one of these is worth?
i didnt get the pan welded yet. chunkos been really busy. i might have his brother welded it though. im just cleaning up everything. i will start to make the motor mounts tomorrow. thats it until i get back on the 2nd
im going to relocated the battery and it will be in that area. kinda like the stock location but more towards the corner of the engine bay. then i will run the dp under the heaterbox and down between the frame and motor. I dont know how big of dp i will be able to fit but i want atleast a 3.5" but im not afraid to do some cutting and welding on the truck
this is a great project! i am wanting to do something similar myself. i have a magnacharged 6.0 with an awd 4l65 and awd t case sitting in the garage, waiting for a home!
