Default LY6 Swap need help with Dbw pedal

I have an LY6 engine, 6L90 trans, and an E38 ECM. This came out of an 08 silverado with 11 miles. I have the truck intake, throttle body with tac module, truck DBW pedal and engine wire harness. All of this is from the donor truck. I do not have the bcm or any interior wiring.

I need help connecting the pedal. Do any of you smart guys know which pins on the pedal go to which pins on the ecm. I would like to make this connection without buying an aftermarket wire harness. A pinout for the ecm would also be nice.

This will be going in a 1939 ford I am building. So I am starting with a clean slate. There is absolutely no interior in the car except for dash and steering wheel. Any suggestion for gauges that will fit in the dash and work with the drive train will be appreciated. I like the idea of having an old car with modern amenities.

Here's a picture of the engine on my home built frame.

Thanks for the help

As I recall, there is no TAC module on the 08's. After 2007, the PCM handled all of the DBW functions. It seems that there should be a connector in the main harness that connects straight to the pedal. Are you sure that the TAC module is from the same vehicle?

LS1 is correct, there is no tac module with an e38 ecm. It should be a flat 6 pin connector that plugs right into the pedal.

This should help with the pinouts. Scroll to post #7

By TAC module I mean the electric motor on the throttle body. I may have the terminology wrong. It is the correct hardware. And I do believe you are correct about the pedal plugging into the harness, LS1. Yes Alocker, the pedal does have a flat 6 pin connector. My problem is that the connector (on the harness) is missing. I found a pin out for the computer that seems to match up better than the one Alocker suggested, it can be found here. http://www.justanswer.com/questions/...lanche-ecm-pin It seems to me that pins 29 to 34 are for the pedal. Is this correct? Does any one know which pins from the ecm go to which pins on the pedal.

Thanks,
Tom

I'LL second that - this could be what I've spent a while looking for!! (Anyone know off-hand how much of the stuff below would also apply to a similar-year L92???)

If your using an E38 ECM than this should work for any vehicle with that ECM. Im pretty sure anything with AFM or VVT uses that ECM now.

Bite the bullet and print everything out now, it makes for easier reference. They also could disappear.

From what I have read you need to have a matching ECM and a matching OS (operating system). So the Vette pinouts don't exactly match the truck pinouts. Check the pins line for line against the truck version in one of my previous posts and you will see the differences. Some pins are totally different. Some only have different color codes but the same circuit number. The rest seem to match. I have my harness (LY6/6L90) laid out on the floor next to me and all the pins match the truck pnout from the link above. It also makes references to LY6, L92, and other truck engine codes. This is the one I will use. The vette manual does, however, have some very useful information, like pedal wiring. Just make sure everything matches up before you use it.

Arrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh!!! You're right again... I tried to print a bunch of stuff from post #7, & everything I clicked on was gone ("404" errors). So then I tried clicking a bunch of links at random (from within that thread), same thing.

I don't suppose that anyone has that E38/engine harness data saved...???

(crossing my fingers...)
