| Did you See Chris442's LS7 68 Camaro ? I just got reading the Jan 09 Car Craft and it has a feature write up on Chris442's 68 Camaro with a LS7 / T56.
I meet Chris and his father two years ago at Reno's Hot August night and they finally were able to make this years with there ride !.. You can see some of the action from Reno that had many pictures of us LS1Tech'r at the A&W with other Swapped cars and trucks. Hot August Nights!
There is no use telling you about what was picture and writen, read it yourself.. and the car looks as good in person as in the mag !
Chris and Greg.. good going on making the Car Craft mag ! |

| Yeah, I saw that article.
It's just a real thrill to see the car in print. It was a long wait since the shoot in July, knowing that it would be in the mag.
We actually did the shoot in St Paul, MN at the Car Craft Nationals in July. It was the first time we showed the car anywhere, and we were lucky enough to be spotted by the editor there. We drove the car to the show from Phoenix and then continued on to Reno for HAN and then drove home. 5000 miles total. I can't post the whole thing, but here's a little tease from the photoshoot:
A couple of weeks later in Reno:
We sure have come a long way from the start of 2005 when we got the car...

| Picked up the CarCraft this aft. Congratulations Greg and Chris. First on the great car, then on the excellent press in a national mag! Well done and well deserved. Sure had fun hanging with you guys at HAN, hope to do it again next year.

| LOVE it. Great choice on wheels, love the Rallye Green with traditional 68 SS stripe, etc. Great work.
Give us a list of all the parts you used.

| Thanks for the compliments, guys.
Pat, we're looking forward to seeing you again next year. Hopefully we won't have to jump start the car off your Stude again.
Tyler, I'll list the basics for you:
LS7 crate
LG G7X3 cam package
custom built headers and air intake
Magnaflow 3" exhaust with QTP cutouts
Speartech harness using stock E38 computer and dbw throttle
Abear valve covers
Ron Davis double pass radiator with integrated oil/water cooler
Peterson oil tank using stock dry sump pan with GM AN oil line adapter
Rick's Hot Rod Shop stainless gas tank with Bosch 044 fuel pump
T56 from Rockland Standard Gear - upgraded with Viper output shaft
stock LS7 clutch til it wears out
Currie 9" - 3.50 gears - Truetrac diff
21st Century C5 subframe
DSE quadralink with minitubs
C6 Z06 brakes
Racing-brake slotted 2 pc rotors
rear brake adapter from Kore3 using stock drum style parking brake
Hydroboost from Hydratech with Wilwood master
Fikse Profil 5s wheels with Michelin PS2 rubber 275 front 335 rear
Vintage Air Gen IV AC
interior - stock 68 Camaro
Speedo modified by Redline Gaugeworks to electronic
...and a clutch master cylinder and bracket from some guy in Vegas.
You might remember seeing the car in my sig at your shop a couple years back.
The higher curve is the Camaro and the lower curve is my daily driver 06 GTO, fyi. The Camaro made this power in 108* heat, so I think there's a bit more left now that it's gotten cooler. It would only take 14* of timing that day.

| I thought that thing looked familiar. You do know I have a Rallye Green 68 with the same stripe right?
Car looks wicked. I'm going to forward a few pics to Steven Rupp at Camaro Performaers magazine.

| Brian, definitely the more the merrier. I hope you get in to HAN officially this year. I'm sure you'd enjoy the Poker Run with Pat and I.
Ya, Tyler, I knew you had a Rallye Green car; I kinda figured that's why you liked mine. I'm looking forward to seeing 50/50 finally hit the road sometime, hopefully soon. |

Since the mag is off the stands now, I think I can post these up pretty safely (sorry about the large size, but this way they are readable):
