My next project is going to be a 72 short bed fleetside with a 5.3 4l60e. Just waiting on a buddy of mine who knows where there is supposed to be a pretty nice Texas truck for sale. Good luck with your project and keep us posted.

Another LS swap? You are slowly becoming the man to talk to in Clovis

When are you going to do the C10 shortwide to Denali chassis swap?

what for pan are you using in this swap? Truck pan or the LH8 hummer?

Looks good, thanks for the tip on the headers...I was looking at the Doug Thorley's but they are $589. I would rather use cheap headers and bang a tube if needed. Looks like you raised the engine up more than most swap "kits" would. If you are using the truck pan I'm curious if raising it like this puts the bottom of pan level with the bottom of crossmember?

thanks

it is the truck pan it is very close to level with the bottom of the crossmember hangs down an 1/8 of an inch if even texas speed had the best price on the headers but they were out of stock i bought them eleswhere but they price matched i am not a big fan of banging up headers theses worked well just gona have to do some minor trimming on the frame

What all (if any) frame modifications did you have to make to get this motor to fit? (example: cut for the a/c compressor?)

Also, what trans are you running? And if it is a 4l60 or 4l80, will the stock automatic transmission crossmember work?

I ask because I have a 70 SWB and I am building a 408 to put in it. I have yet to find a trans. I would like a t56, but I think that due to price and the ease of finding an auto, I may end up going with a 4L80e.
