I like the idea of runnign a big cam and big compression with a turbo setup, and was looking into running my setup the same way. My cam is very similar to a Trex, and sompression is just above 12:1. On methanol I figured it would be a very nice working setup. I'd likely stay EFI on mine, but carburated with a distributer and a 7 series MSD would work also. I highly doubt the 6010 box would be happy at this power level, not to mention the amount of energy required to light that mix.

On mine I considered running the EFI for the fueling only, and then running the dist. for the ignition. Made sense to me anyway. I say go for it, but if your gonna do it, go big. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Well there's a max power thread on the 6010. And it should hold up nicely but. I would love to run straight meth but my rings aint stainless.

Thanks its soooo close to starting. I just need to do the turbo tubing and get the msd box connect the cooling and fuel system. And the driveshaft to move it around

dude i love it. my dad had a 94' ss and it was always one of my favorites. im lookin to swapping a duramax/4l80e into one for my next project. a nice family crusier gettin 30 MPG and an easy 700 lb/ft. once againkeep up the good work and keep the pictures comin

sweet!!!! and i sort of plan on doing the same but with a 5.9 cummins. idk if i should do that or a big LSX. but hopefully im working in the future.

heres a few good pics. still need to do final polishing, get some emblems and the centerline wheels. i also ordered up the boost gauge, the dual gauge philler pod. and a moroso switch panel. next is a painless muti circuit harness so i can get started on the electrical. i plan to delete ALL the underdash wiring.

well heres a veryyyyyyy good update. i sold a nova i had last week. so i ordered the 6010 msd box, compeition engineering steering column kit, the fuel lines, and alot of other misc stuff. and hopefully next week i take the car to my cousins shop to have it get a 10 point chromoly cage, mini tubbed, and some other welding stuff. i should have it started up as soon as do the hot turbo side, connect the fuel and electrical. veryyy veryy soon. and hopefully i can sell an s10 i have so i can buy the driveshaft and rearend and it will be ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here are some pics i am almost done with the wiring. i just need to wire up the fuel pump, lights, trans brake, 2 step, neutrel safety switch and the gauges. i can crank the engine right now i just dont want to i need the mount up the intake instuff 1st. and hopefully i can order the turbo hot side tubing today. not much is needed now for it too start.

carb boost hat wouldnt fit so i had to bust out with the high speed gun.
