Ok. Now that I finally fixed my problem yesterday, its update time.

For those who dont know. The car was idleing pretty good, had 2 weird DTCs (none related to an 02 SS tune) but had NO power at all. I couldnt get passed 1.5k RPM. After going thru my harness, wires by wires, checking power and grounds, ruling out the coils, ruling out the injectors, ruling out fuel or air and hardware issues, I came to the conclusion that my newly programmed PCM was faulty.

After waiting a couple of weeks to take delivery, it finally came. I swapped it in and the engine runs flawlessly. Boy does it sound pissed. Ill have professionnal pics added tomorrow.

I took the car out for its true first ride today. I went pretty easy on the throttle to break in the new clutch and rear end the right way.

The Goods: The car handles like a dream. Rides VERY smooth @ ride height with koni shocks set to the firmest.

Steering response is great, exhaust tone is awesome (1 3/4 primaries headers, 3" collectors to a Flowmaster merge and a 4" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler). Its loud and mellow. I have not tried it with the cutout open, I still have to wire the switch.

The chassis seems pretty stiff even tho I did not pushed it in corners yet. Brakes are flawless, they are by far the best addition this car ever had.

The Bads:
My fans do not turn up with this new pcm. They did with the old, so Im not really sure whats going on there. I wired it perma-on for the ride. Ill have to look in to the wires to see whats up with that.

My crank pulley wasnt seated all the way in it seems, I shreded my brand new belt to pieces when I started back from the gas station, it was a good thing its 1 minute away from my home. Ill make a pulley install tool monday and fix that.

Im getting a MAF DTC even tho I specified I wanted a SD tune.

Got to thigten up the E-brake.

Here are 2 vids of my 1st run. In the passing by video, ignore the hellish squeal that the power steering pump is making, its related to my crank pulley issue (this was taken before the belt went bye bye).

2nd video is with my wife and my soon to be baby girl. The noise you hear in the background is the air compressor filling up the air ride tank, it was empty.

Sorry for the crappy vids, but you get the idea.
Pics coming tomorrow.

Good lord that car sounds mean, I looked through the thread but didn't see what exactly you used for the exhaust. I assume you went Hawk's SS headers? Seems everyone but me did lol, and the Hooker CB, is it an aerochamber?

I keep following your car, It so flippin' clean, I'd just never be able to drive it - it's a piece of artwork at this point.

Thanks for the kind words man, I used Hawk's SW headers. Its a mufflex 4" exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler. If I have time, Ill wire the cutout today

Awesome, keep up the good work man, that thing is certainly clean and done right. I only wish the guys that did my swap took as much care in the project.

Very very excited. Ill do some more tuning this week and make sure everything is ready for a long ride. I still have a clutch and rear end to break.
Tho Im not so sure the neibourgs are as happy as I am.

Speaking of that, I still need to introduce them to my secret friend, mister cutout.

Nice Swap!!! I love the attention to detail. Also gives me some ideas for my swap that I'm planning. I just wish I wouldn't have sold both my Irocs... Keep the updates coming!!!

I like the gauge cluster, but it looks like it may be a little to bright at night, or is it just the pics?

I love it. The door handles, or the lack of them, have started to grow on me. Beautiful car.
