Well now that im pretty much done with the build heres my experience with Hinson.

I asked for a refund on the tune for the GM ecu cuz I had to pay someone to come out and fix the basemap I was charged 185$ for.I spoke with him yesterday and he told me he tested the GM ECU and drove with it which honestly is full of shit. If that was the case then the car would of started instead of throwing an incorrect immobilizer key code...not to mention he says he "tuned" it but I had to pay a tuner to get a base map..he says it looks like someone went through a stock tune and quickly unchecked a few things and seemed to rush through it..again, he says he tested the ECU and wont give me a refund..I didnt even bother to argue..

The oil pan that I paid 1000$ for leaks in two places on the welds..once is a nice pine hole.I had my welder look at it and he laughed and said I pretty much got raped on an oil pan with shotty welds....not to mention my powersteering line doesnt fit cuz the pan wasnt welded right..the driveshaft was sent with a FORD transmission yoke, power steering line too short, and the list goes on....I was given more and excuses than you could imagine..im sitting on one right now..I got an email from him friday saying he'd have the correct power steering line shipped..it was supposed to be shipped last week..I still haven't heard anything..and that id have the rest of the wiring instructions for my CAN gateway..no response....

I paid 425$ to have the Nissan ECU detuned..and I STILL have the check engine light along with a bunch of other lights on....umm..I paid $295 for a CAN gateway(its this little piece of plastic with an LED and a cut wire off the end of it.)that I was promised 5 different times id have instructions for..still dont have them..so its useless..He overnighted me THE WRONG PART(the power steering line which was too short that I was charged 225 for)....and wants me to pay for the shipping on both..not to mention he was supposed to put a bunch of stuff in one box..but shipped them all separately..but expects me to pay for all the shipping.....and ive had to deal with absolutely 0 technical support(nor any kind of support after paying) and pretty much do the whole build including the wiring myself. In a way im happy that its done..but doing this was the biggest mistake to be completely honest... I was promised id have all my stuff in 4 weeks and had to suffer excuse after excuse...after excuse..im beyond fed up..but the car is done I guess..so ill survive...lesson learned though.

I got the car weighed today. The scale goes in increments of 20lbs and with the full interior, drag wheels and no spare the car weighed in at 3100lbs I'm gonna be honest..I didn't expect it to be that light.
