Nice swap ! The wheels make it look like the only Z car that looks right ! With the problems so many people have with wiring, I wonder why no one uses the donor car harness in its entirety, modifying as they go ?

wow... that is one nice clean looking install....

My boss is putting the finishing touches on his 3rd gen rx7 ls1 swap, and wants to do a 350z next... I'll have to see how much he has researched it with respect to some of the issues you had, but man, I am psyched for him now! Kind of makes me want to go this route!

Nice man, nice!

I want to start working my 350Z build but my 460ci is getting very expensive. I have a 5.3 sitting in my garage with a 4L60E so I was thinking of swapping this combo for the time being. What do u guys think?

I am surprised you had to saw the whel so hard back and forth hitting it at a low rpm in third gear. Maybe I dont realize it but I doubt I do that in my car even on street tires in 2nd or 3rd. Maybe 1st, but even then it goes pretty straight.

Whats done to that engine and what tires were you running in that vid?

Clean swap, where does everyone find these scales. I'll make a trip to CT just to weight the car if I have to

You sir, are my hero! That is a super clean build and the engine bay is so much more tidy than the stock 350Z!

Saw this car in person, actually I couldnt really see it because there were about 80 dudes jerking off on it in the parking lot at Dunkin Donuts. He was running open headers on it and it wasnt tuned for shit, probably just got it running the night I saw it. What's the compression on the engine, sounds pretty high? Wonder how that turbo set up is gonna work out with that especially with a big duration and lift cam in there. By the way, what did the total build run you, what did you have to do, take out a second mortgage on the house?... also curious as to how you think the Nissan IRS will hold up to clutch dumps with 100% traction at the track? Are you converting to solid axle or keeping the stock shit?

Shitty cell phone pic of the new intake. This stupid intake solved all of my MAF issues. I guess having it that close to the TB really does mess it up.

Compression is *around* 11:1...when I do the turbo next year ill be rebuilding the engine with low compression pistons and a much smaller cam..somewhere around the 224 range. The build was about 15k so far. The nissan IRS bone stock has gone 8s..so hopefully I wont have to worry. The axles are very thick and the car isn't extremely heavy(3100 full weight)

Id imagine it was causing all kinds of turbulence and bad readings. Great swap btw, looks factory.

Thanks. Yeah I think your right. Whats funny is I had that nylon as a temp. filter and it was EXTREMELY restrictive. With it on I was reading 9 g/ps being pulled through the maf at idle..as soon as I removed it changing nothing else the maf started reading 13g/ps I can only imagine how much power it was robbing.
