yes it is a 4l80. I justed upgraded my truck to an 80 from a th400. I Really wanted overdrive!

GM "G" Vans (savana, express) came with 4.3 v6, 4.8 v8 and 6.0. Never a 5.3.(at least ive never seen one) I once saw a 1998 1 ton G van with a 4.3 v6 and a 4L80!!! It's the stupidest thing I have seen sice an iron duke 3rd gen camaro!

The VortecMax Trucks have the L76 6.0L it's VVT with AFM been that way since 07. The 2500HD LY6 6.0L has VVT as well.

And for 2010 all 4.8L (L20) and 5.3L (LC9,LH9,LMF,LMG) will now have VVT! http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en...10truck_us.htm

Actually I think they got that one right; the 4l80e should come in all trucks regardless of engine.

Windrock Moutain. My grandparents lived in OS on Windrock Road till their passing. Used to love to go up there. Have not been up there in a few years.

I would bolt it to a good iron block and get someone handy with a TIG to take care of that.

Yeah, I plan take it to welding shop to do weld on those broke areas. Also If no luck it sell, I will send it to my good friend, who work on transmission shop and do rebuilding on it. Beefy and strong acceleration.
