Default My G-Body swap 78' Bu

Ok guys hopefully I can remember to take plenty of pics. I've got a '78 Malibu and just bought an '03 100% complete LQ4/4l80 70,xxx mile combo out of a Silverado today.

Initial build plan: notch rear frame rails, Ford rear, heim rear suspension links with plenty of housing adjustment holes, full moly cage, remove center section of crossmember, replace with tubing, remove heater box, install water/air intercooler in it's place, install street rod heat and a/c, use aluminum olds/pontiac core support. Engine mods now: Injectors, 80mm single turbo, custom tune and that's it for now.

Future engine mods: whatever it takes to run 5.50's in the 1/8 w/ac on and get 20+ MPG on 2010 power tour.

Just got it and the '03 LQ4 in the shop last night. I've got a few parts collected: Wheels, tires, heads, cam, intake, front brakes, fuel cell, etc... Plan is street car built to Drag Radial specs, turbo 6.0/4l80 w/AC! I will try to keep this updated and detailed as many are interested in G-body swaps.

I'm looking forward to the details! I can't wait to see the results of using the hot rod heat & A/C since the stock G-Body A/C box is so big and ugly.

orange88 where are you based? ph #? I'm thinking of looking for heat and a/c that will fit under the dash. I'm also planning to use dual a/c, 1 evaporator under the dash and 1 in the water tank for intercooler.
