Default LQ4 swap into camaro

I have just bought an LQ4 and going to be swapping it into my car soon. I was wondering about the motor mounts. Do i just bolt the factory ls1 mounts to the block? and what size drill and tap do yall use to drill the hole for alternator bracket.

If there is any other details that i may need to know about don't hesitate to let me know. thanks.

1st of all.. you need to give some more detail.. like what year Camaro your talking about..

There is a FAQ at the top of this forum section for 1st gen F-Bodys. if yours is one.

There are swap for many Camaro in this secition and listed in the FAQ. These will out line what you need for the engine mount adapter (oem LS1 F-body will not work with out cutting and welding them to work).

The front bolt that your taking about would be 8mm x 1.5mm for threaded tap.. used the suggested drill size that is suggested for the tap.

Search is your best bet right now.. read up and then ask your question.

No change or anything necessary they're basically the same engine except the lq4 is a bit bigger and its iron.

If your 6.0 is a 99 or 00 model, the crankshaft is thicker in the rear where the flexplate/flywheel bolts up, so it won't work with a 1998+4L60 or T56 transmission. 01+6.0's either have a standard thickness crank flange, or have a spacer and can be removed when used in 1998+ F-body's
