Default L59, l33, lh6, ly5, lmg, lc9, lmf, ls4, l76

and LFA. Are these less sought after as swap motors because of AFM, FLEX FUEL, and VVT? What about the front drive car engines? I ask because these are out there as pull outs and mostly you hear about swapping in the more popular LQ9 and LQ4 OR reg. gas 5.3's. I'm just wondering if they are any harder to deal with when swapping or building than the other LSx motors? I want to start sourcing parts for 1 or 2 future swaps, and have seen these out there. Sorry for the acronym overkill! Thanks...

lq 6.0 are prefered because of larger ci obviuosly, and because all lq are 24x so the can be used with 99-02 fbody pcm.
it is easy to disable the the afm and vvt and retrofit back to normal.

The L33 is just as easy as a normal 5.3 swap. The L33 is just all aluminum with the LS6 cast heads.

Ok, so the LQ motors have the same reluctor wheels as 99-02 pcms. The 5.3's have to use a different or aftermarket pcm? Just trying to learn a little bit more for future refernce. So I don't buy something I don't need, can't modify, or etc.

Cool, keep it coming. Sounds like the L33 would be a great motor to get for a swap then, 5.3 w/ factory alum. block!
