Default awd to rwd conversion

I got my LQ9 Monday. I must have been drinking when I ordered it, or the ad didn't mention it, but it is an AWD tranny. Although, an AWD 72 nova sounds cool, I think it might be more than I can handle. How hard is it to convert it to RWD? Should I just sell it and buy a RWD?

The AWD/4WD transmission tailshaft is shorter than the 2wd tailshaft.
I'm guessing you have a 4L80E tranny?

It is supposed to be a 4l60e, but it was late when I got it. I didn't look it over close enough. It is at a friends where I'll be working on it. I'll have check this weekend. I am thinking I should just switch it out for a RWD. Thanks for the input

That is a 4L65E a stronger version of the 4L60e. You can have a transmission shop swap out the mainshaft and the tailhousing. It will probably cost less than you will lose selling it.

Thanks Bowtie, I'll make some calls to transmissions shops. I was shooting for somewhat of a budget build.
