Default LS Engine/Tranny Alignment 67 Camaro

Hey guys I don't know if this has been covered before but I Really Need Help.
Parts List:
-99 5.3 motor and 4l60e
-edelbrock ls1 engine adaptors
-BB engine mounts and rubber bushings
-manual transmission mount
-99 4l60e truck transmission bushing

Everything fits well. The engine sits very low but I like how low it is. There is probable 1/16 of inch clearance between the oil pan and frame. I may notch the frame later. My question is: Does the motor and transmission have to be in centerline of the frame? I am trying to drill a hole for my transmission mount and I want to it perfect for my drive shaft. Please help.

No... many of the BBC car if you notice, were offset to the passenger side as well as many other brands of cars (Ford, Mopar). As long as everything is parallel. The Drive shaft U-Joint are design to handle this offset if you have some. My engine trans is offset to the right about 1/4-1/2".

Thanks. I am going to drill the hole. My grandfather said the same thing about the joints in the drive shaft.

the BB mounts offset the engine to the p/s on a Camaro, along with the trans mount-if you move the trans to the center, it might twist the motor, as you will bemoving the trans over but not the engine-im going from memory
