Smile How are yall

I am new to the LS-1, I want to put one in my 1995 GMC Sierra. I don't have any idea where to start other than saving up some cash. If anyone has any advice please feel free to let me know.

Smile Ls-1 newbie

Hello, I want to put an LS-1 in my 1995 GMC Sierra. I don't have any idea where to start or what I will need. My truck has a 305 V8 in it right now and a 5 speed manual trans. I would like to stick with the tbi I have, I do not want to go carb'd. I just added a k&n airfilter kit for it and Edelbrock shorty headers. Let me know if anyone has any ideas or advice. Thanks.

First buy the ls1 and a 4l60e transmission. Ha! just kidding. If you want to go with the cheaper side you are better off buying the 5.3 or 6.0 engine along with transmission over an actual ls1. As far as motor mounts and stuff like that i have no idea.

You should go with a 6.0 iron block!

This should get you started. Quick, cheap 5.3 swap into a 1990 Silverado
Same body style, and there is a detailed list of everything he used, good write up.
