Default 6.0 Swap brings new life to Pro Street 85 S-10

Did a quick swap for a guy with an 85 S-10 that is back-halved with a ladder bar setup. Originally built in the late 90's, had your typical wore out 350 with a gear drive...probably put about 180hp to the tires.
Swapped in an '02 6.0 w/ 70k miles. Untouched really, stock cam, heads etc. LS1 intake/ rails/ injectors and some paint. Headers and mounts came from CarshopINC. Added some Autometer gauges and a stealth pro-ratchet shifter operates the full manual TH350 w/ 3500 stall. I built a fully mandrel bent 3" exhaust that dumps at the rear with Flowmaster 1 chamber race mufflers....sounds way better than I expected.
Truck drives nice and runs great. The owner was looking for something more reliable than the always dying/ leaking/ overheating small block and I think it turned out pretty decent. Red paint accents were the customers idea, but I think it gives it an okay touch and makes it stand out a little, which is what he wanted.

Pics....

Default s10

hey MeanYellowZ. im trying to modify/make DBW harness on my 5.3/4l60e. BTW nice job on the s10. point me in the right direction please. my motor starts n runs but has no throttle response. thevendor want me to send the ecms, tac mod, foot pedal, wire harness, maf sensor, and throttle so he can find the problem. since i have about 2 weeks on my hands i might as well convert my factory truck harnese to DBC. if anbody knows how to do this, this person would be you.

Well it's more of a nice driver/ cruiser/ car show kinda thing. Not really a racecar....but I would guess it goes 12.50. Probably make it to the track once next year

Hey MYZ, long time no chat.

What accessory setup are you using on that motor? I like the high-mounted alternator, but the f-body accessories that I've been planning to use put the alternator down low.

Thanks

Hey Jim...it has been a long time since the days of the thirdgen.org I make my own brackets a lot of times for the accessories, but this particular one is a truck alternator bracket with the idler and power steering areas cut off of it, leaving just the alternator mount. If you are using f-body balancer and water pump you could probably get away with this bracket if you had some machined off of the back of it to tuck it in tighter to line up with the fbody stuff....I have done that before on some of them.

Juced, this harness is from Techrods, I make my own lots of times but was on a tight timeframe with this one.
