yes its me again with another motor swap.. i do get bored with motor.. as some of you kno i had the turbo 5.3/4l80e 14 psi,,ran like a raped ape/..
well sold the motor sunday,,found a good deal on a ly6,,with 12 miles on it,, . dont kno which way to go with it yet maybe turboed or keep it n/a,,time will tell,, motor is already set in chevelle, went in real smooth.. even the stock exhaust manfoilds drop right in place,,had to grind 1/4 inch on passenger side off just for safty,, cleared it anyway.. but went in real nice.. 3200 stall is installed,,maybe manual valve body if i go carb route.3.23 posi rear... i will be swicthing the cam for aftermaket one.. other than that complety stock.. were here are some pics ...with the huge stock l92 heads!!! im excited bout this..
intake on there now is the ls1 one..just put it on there to see what it looked like. its for sale..

howmuch are you asking for the intake and are you going to keep that water pump?

Wow that was fast. I seen this motor in the for sale section a day or two ago.

Nice you got a good deal.

just seeing what it would look like,,eye candy... thats a mpt70 with a .68 housing,, i kno way to small,it would choke it up big time.. plan on getting a 76mm or a 88mm if a good deal comes around.. if none then i'll just buy another mpt70 and do twins,, motor will be blowthru carb.. . 12 psi.. guy on truck forums ran 10's with his stock l76 with cam, with a procharger 12 psi i think..

if i do single turbo i'll do the truck setup, keep driver side manifold and make a log type on the passenger type.. real clean look..

showin the clearence of the stock manifolds..

picture of passenger side.kinda close to frame, but clears..

thanks ,,and good luck to you too... let me kno how it does..

and no i wont be keeping the vvt..
i would need a .96 housing to make this turbo work,,but it would stil run outa steam.. be instant boost tho..haha.

i seen some dyno numbers from a l76 in a pontaic g8,,same motor as mine just alum version,, 100% stock with twin turbo's 9 psi made 545rwhp. then upgraded fuel system and cam, ran 11 psi made a mind blowing 723rwhp.6xx rwtq.. http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14444

there's another guy on youtube had a ly6 in his 70's model camaro ran twins made around 720 rwhp. e85..https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...cs-inside.html

i found a ht60 which is a holset turbo of a big semi.. already looked it up and stuff.it will support 980hp for a gas motor.. this thing is massive.. also had a ht3b ..ht55,,but the ht60 flows the most..
another guy had one on his 355sbc,,ran in 9's with it..so it looks promising..or buy another mpt70..he wants $300 for ht60,think i'll buy it any way and do twin compound on our ole 12v cummins..

Did you have to do any Mod to the tranny tunnel ? am putting a 4L60E in the same car tonight. Did you drop the motor and tranny in one shot or you split them?

well there a kit for vvt, that makes 480hp.. but its exspensive.. if i stay n/a i would be getting rid of the "vvt" and break 500 mark.. and blah blah about keeping the vvt,, if you want it then you keep it,""for all those vvt freaks""..,dont tell me to keep it,, some people have def opionions on vvt..i dont care about it.. i'll only keep vvt if i go boosted and leave stock cam in it,, think right now as i sit,im going to run the mpt70 and try .68 housing..yes yes i kno to small.. probly have boost creep.. i'll just get bigger wastegate.. should have killer torque real low rpm.. put stock tq convertor back in it..

i'll need to invest in some good tires!!!!

big as i can get it..with out it being redicilous....

man its hard as hell to track down a factory harness for this beast.......gonna try to mod it myself,,"standalone" or send it off..
any one have a local junkyard with 08' truck harness with vvt..would greatly help..or a website to junkyard..

tried looking around ,saw the ls3 complete standalone kit for around $850 which sounds like an awsome deal,, but it doenst have vvt,, if i cant find a vvt harness and ecm ,then i'll just convert it ls3 harness..
and im not gonna pay a arm and leg for a custom harness..
