Default Gonna sell my LS1 swapped Nova

I have built this car from the ground up and have enjoyed the process as much as the end result. This Nova is a hard running street car that can be driven absolutely anywhere at any time. I have used it in parades, many car shows, limited drag racing events, and even a little autocross. The LS1 makes the car light and nimble but still puts out somewhere in the 450 Hp range and delivers a large, useable torque band. The converter in this car is very streetable and makes for a nice, tight driving car. The rack and pinion makes the car easy to drive and eliminates all bumpsteer and drama on uneven roads. The car has been on the dragstrip on two occasions and runs 11.60 at 120 MPH back to back to back. The car weighs 3220 pounds and is as easy to drive down the strip as my GMC pickup- simply no drama. You have the option of adjusting the coilovers and rear shocks to set the car up for an autocross event in about a half hour making the car very versatile and useable. This car can go pro touring with a wheel change and a shock adjustment. We have gotten countless compliments on the car. It’s different in almost every facet from all other Novas out there. My family is expanding so it’s with a heavy heart I must let it go. I've gotten a bunch of help from this forum with the swap- thanks all!

Very nice ride, wish I could get it. I have a question for you.

Did you have any issues putting those headers on with the unisteer rack and pinion? If you did, what was it and how did you resolve it?

I have a 69 Camaro with the same subframe as yours and a unisteer R&P and am contemplating a LS engine.

Thanks,

Lee

Lee I had zero issues with the headers and the Unisteer kit. There's plenty of room to drop the pass side in from the top, and the drivers easily from the bottom. You should have the same results.

Thanks a bunch for the information. Good luck with selling your ride. I think you have a real nice set up there and should keep it but in the end all cars get sold...

I saw this car last year at the Mini-Nats in Pleasanton and can say it is one sweet ride.Very meticulously built.
Dude, I understand the growing family issue but are you sure you cant put it away for a few years till things settle down.I have found it is easier to keep what you have when starting/adding to a family its so hard to find the time to build anything once life goes into overdrive.

Thanks for the kind words Brian. I'd like to keep the car but it just sin't in the cards at this point. I've got two other LSX swap cars in the works- one of which will be the family brawler. The Nova is dialed. It could go quicker with 4.10s and a 4500 stall, but it can be driven anywhere in its current state and is a breeze in traffic. I'm still planning on going to the nationals even if I don't have it anymore! Dave

1st off, that is one of the best built cars on the forum imho. The really sad part is that you will be hard pressed to find a buyer willing to give you what you're asking for the car. I'm stuck in the same bind right now and the asking price isnt even close to the invested cost. Best of of luck with the sell.
