First your going to need about $6k-$9K depending on how crazy you get. Used parts save the most money and you'd be surprised what a little spray paint can do. When I did my swap 4 years ago there weren't as many parts available. There are several stickys at the top of Conversions and Hybrids that helped me with my swap. Now there are several Novas on LS1Tech.com to help out also. If you do a search for what you want, 9 times out of 10 its been asked before. Good Luck, my swap took about a year tracking down parts and time to work on it, should be quicker for the new guys to do an LS swap.

S&P has some nice stuff but, can be kinda pricey. I used one of their wiring harnesses for my 5.3 swap and was less than impressed. They sent me a LS1 harness from another company so they're just a middle man so don't expect any questions answered if something isn't right. The LS1 harness didn't work with my setup(5.3/4L60E) because on 5.3 motors the O2's are grounded @ the PCM and not the sensor. Took me several months and calling a couple people to work it out. Speartech answered all my questions even when they didn't have to. Don't personnally know the guy but if I ever need another wiring harness that I won't have to cut up to make work, I'm calling Speartech.

Did you put '68 fenders on that? The marker lights aren't right for a '72.

What part of Arkansas are you in? Your motor should be drive by cable, not wire. The temp sensor is different on a 98 than 99 and newer. If you go to a newer harness/pcm you'll need to change it.

So all i should need to change is the Temp Sensor? And you used a Harness out of an 01.

This is the Info i am looking for if that all that needs changed then i will just get a EMC and Harness out of a 01 are newer.

What year did they start the drive by Wire on the LS1 motors?

yes, get a 99-up temp sensor. all fbodys were cable driven throttlebodys. i think 04 is when they started drive by wire.

is that the only difference? all other sensors are the same? same crank tooth count?

THANKS for all the GREAT Info Guys i am looking on Ebay a guy will make me a Harness for a 99 up LS1 for $350.00 and i found a Guys that sales the 99 ECM and will Flash it all for 135.00 so i will have in the Harness and ECM is $490.00 and that not to bad at all.

I am thinking i can get all this done for around $2000.00 Bucks found the Flue Pump on ebay for $99.00 Walbro 255 Inline Pump and found the Corvette Filter for 38.00 bucks.

I have a Fuel Cell in my car now with two Lines one i used for my NOS and the other one was for the Fuel pump so the Fuel hook up is no big deal and i have a B&M shifter so that all ready to go looks like i just need to get all the parts here and start some work.

the relucter tooth count is the same for fbodys. i think it was different on later years. you might look at the classified section on the board here for a harness and pcm. you can get the pair a little cheaper sometimes.

i think you might come out a little cheaper also if you let a tuner like frost (tunedbyfrost.com) sell you a new pcm with the correct tune in it for your application. you can go to his website or pm him here.
