I just read that thread, good info. But seems with my TCI converter there was ZERO drilling/grinding. Sweet fitment. And for $61.00!

Thumbs up

I read three articles from "experts", on this subject, wrote down all part numbers given, the only one that was in all three was the spacer---, get in touch with the GM powertrain people, your local dealer can get you the 800 number, they gave me the correct numbers, with a case file number so that if you have an issue wwith their info, you have some evidence you spoke to their "experts", if you need to return anything. I am doing the same T-4oo/gearvendors setup behind an LS2

hughes performance flexplate doesn't require spacer. the TCI flywheel comes with spacer and is a very nice peice IMO. i will go with TCI when i get a sfi flexplate for my car.

Well, I aint no expert, but I can tell you for a FACT that the part I just bolted on today is an EXACT fit, and only required the ONE part.

I decided against the muncie since I have to go in for my left knee to be bolted together again. Sucks gettin old! Plus, I got a super deal on the new TCI trans and I have all the automatic shifters and stuff. Muncie M20 is for sale though. Came out of a 68 Camaro.

The fact that you actually did it puts you at their level, most if not all writers follow what someone else tells them..and thats not a spacer to index the converter in the picture????

As in one part I meant you only order the 1 part # from GM. Some say to order the flexplate AND the spacer. The spacer and bolts are all included in the box.

That was the # the GM tech gave me for the flexpate. Also 12563532 for the spacer , and 14088764 for the bolts. Makes ya wonder, they should be the first on the correct info???? Next time I am in town, will hit the local dealer with these numbers and see what happens.

Getting the converter to bolt up properly is only half of the battle. You also have to support the snout which is where the adapter comes in
