on the ls2 oilpan,are there any differences in it and the f-body pan?I already have a f-body pan and would love to be able to use it over the truck pan.
I ordered the ls2 pan,when I get it in I'll compare it with the fbody oilpan and take pics. Heres a ls7 oilpan next to an fbody. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/attach...chmentid=46684

No,thats the LS7 with the fbody oilpan below it.But I think the ls7 and ls2 are pretty close to the same shape.

Hey has any body seen that the two new guys from Trucks on Spike TV are putting a V8 in a S-10? I'm not sure what they are using yet though all they said was crate engine.

thought they were putting the stock 4L60E I know it is essentially a 700R4 but it is gonna have to have a seperate computer so I'm thinking it'll at least be the ram jet hell the muscle car guys are throwin one of those in the Elky.

This isnt the first time its been done on Trucks...Stacey did it in an S10 Xtreme except on that they used the LS1. It was a quite a few years ago...and they called it the REAL Xtreme S10. I think if you look in the Trucks archives you could find something about it.

Yeah that was a looong time ago when he used to have that other guy with him it was an LT1.

Guys, I am actively looking for an engine/tranny and am leaning towards a t56. Will the t56 fit alright in the tranny tunnel?(not sure how much bigger than a 4l60e) I realize it will be more work to install ( considering I already have a 4l60e)
Any opinions?
I believe there are no probs as far as size and I am looking to do the same. I have a 4L60e also that should become a T56.

i wanna see these headers! they sounds sweet. is it possible to buy ceramic coating in liquid form and spray it on like clearcoat?
Duplicolor makes high temp ceramic engine paint in spray cans ,never used any though dont' know how it holds up . you can't beat ceramicoat it's baked on and worth the $ if appearence is important........Hey acehaag you get those headers yet?can't wait to see them.

that stuff holds up good for about 5k miles, then it starts flaking off and burning off.......its not worth the effort.
I got my headers and here are some pics
the passenger side fits without to much trouble but it looks like it is a little bit close to the firewall the driver side looks like it is going to interfere with the steering shaft as you can see in the pic.
