Default Race and Street 300zx Ls1

Hello from long time reader first time writer... first of all pardon my english
when my v6 twinturbo engine blow up fore the second time i decieded to swap in somthing better... the chosie fell on Ls1 from a 01 camaro...


some serius cutting where needed to get the engine as fare back as wanted....


the new gearbox from t56rebuilds needed a bit of room to


new tranny tunnel is beeing made....


new paint + also notis the hatch that leets me work on the back of the engine if needed

engine bay some things are temp like the airfilter pos.....


pic from circiut racing alot of fun and the engine withstand my abuse....


i am very happy with the result... but it is not finnished yet

Very cool! With the engine set back that far, I bet it corners VERY well! Your weight balance is probably just about perfect.

its faster than a stock twinturbo fore sure maby even than a bpu
with my last setup i run 12.06/121 with a race weight of 3750 this was with bigger turbos etc

with the ls1 i have faster laptimes around the track than with my modifed engine..... but i also did other mods so you cant giva all the credit to the ls1
but it is much lighter

this friday i am going to 1/8 track to get some times also i will find out the new weight of the car....

im guessing you are from one of the scandinavian countries?


very nice swap though. was the transmission tunnel not at all able to be massaged to fit the transmission or what?

sick swap man. id be extremely pissed if i lined up next to you, not knowin you have an ls1 in there, and you beat the shit out of me. not only that, id be veeeeery confused. ahhahahahahhahah...it looks sick man. good choice of ride to shoehorn that ls1 into too.

you right i live in Sweden.... how could you tell?

at first i placed the engine more to the front no cutting what so ever... i completed the engine mounts and transmission mount.... only thing was the crossmember was lovered in the middel....

but i wasent satisfied i wanted to get the engine as fare back as possiboll... an this is the result after alot of cutting and welding new mounts etc

it seems like Sweden is really the only European country that loves cars as much as we do here. Japan would be 3rd place that i can think of that has a very large car culture, everywhere else it seems to be a marginal social group.

Swedish people are cool, i know a girl who grew up there.

TAKE THAT BACK!!!! what about the UK???? we build mad cars and call them production!! ie TVR, arial atom, caterham 7, Ultima GTR and the ther eis the radical to name just a few
