Looks awesome man, Great Job. I'm actually looking at this thread b/c a friend of mine has an older rx7 with a vortech 350 in it with a 700r4 trans. and it screamed, till he blew the motor. And the transmission has always slipped under WOT. So he's selling it to me for 500.00 and it needs paint and interior work but other than that it's pretty nice. So just wanted to check out your thread and I like what I see. Hopefully I'll build mine by the end of winter. By the way, not trying to hijack your thread, but if anyone in the Indiana or surrounding areas looking for an ls1 engine complete w/ pcm, accesories, and everything still on it. A buddy of mine is selling 1 for 1700.00. Came out of a 98 Trans Am, under 100K miles not sure of mileage but he would know. PM me if anyone is interested. Must pick it up he will not deliver. Good job once again man it looks great.

here is what I picked up today. Dual oil coolers! I’m going to get –10 AN fittings to run the according braided lines to them with the built in thermostats that are in the coolers. With the LG or lingenfelter cooler plate on the LS1 motor. Here is my question does anyone know what temp these stats open at?

I'm thinking of using both of them for the track I think it will work well even though it is over kill from what I have read. I still think it will work well with the built in stats just would like to know what they open at.

Also would it be needed to do anything to the oil pump to get it to push all this oil through this setup? My pump has already been ported do I need to shim it to up the pressure any?

you could boil some water in a large pot with one of the coolers in and use a thermometer to see what temp it starts to open!

So my intake is back with the LS7 MAF mounted in there.

I'm just waiting for a friend of mine to get here with the GM weather pack kit so we can take apart the GM connectors to wire it in rather then cutting wires.

Now here is the oil cooler install. I used the OEM drivers side cooler with the Lingifelfter plate. the line is earls ultra lite 350 -10. on the plate there is a 120 deg and a 90 deg. In the cooler it is Setrab oil cooler fitting works great, I just need to take back my two fittings for the line on the cooler side I relized that a strait fitting will work better then the 90's I got.

It also cleared the headers (JTR 1 7/8) but I had to make me a secial tool get the oil cooler adapter tight.

sabre...are the thermostats removeable completely? like you can run them similar to a tranny cooler wide open all the time?

Yes Daniel you can just pull it right out and put a plug in there, they just un screw, but the OEM trans cooler for the RX7 has a stat in it too, I have that one as well for the other side I'm going to be using it for a PS cooler.

401,
The car is going to be a little bit of everything my friends call it the track car with AC.

old and busted fuel setup. Walbro 255 pump.

Then the new Bosch 044 pump

'

Just adding a long needed update to my build thread.
I had some trouble with fuel pressure dropping off so this is what I did to fix it.

glad to see you figured out your fuel issue. How is the noise level of the bosch compared to the walbro? Also did you retain the check valve ontop of the pump?(cant tell from the pic)

The Bosch pump makes much less noise then walbro pump. No I did not keep the check valve if you look at it is so restrictive its scary. I took it out and used a metric to -6 AN fitting I got with the pump.

Now the fuel pressure barley twitches one PSI on a WOT pull. I cant wait to get it back to you guys to finish the tune. I also had some crap in the filter I think that was a good bit of the trouble there. Along with some on the pick up screen on the old walbro pump.
