Today I did some work on clearancing the Oil Pan. I'm not going to run a Windage Tray because of how much clearancing would have to be done with that.

What are you planning to do for vacuum hoses? What would be cool is if you or someone else doing this swap, could take measurements and make a detailed list of all the hoses needed so it would be pretty painless to make them and install them.

Theres a guy on ebay that I bough my silicone vacuum hoses from that comes with a diagram and a detailed instruction sheet of where all the hoses go and they are precut and numbered. Too bad he doesn't do this for LS1s.

The only Vacuum that will be connected to my Engine is the one for the Brake Booster, and the EVAP System(from the Fuel Tank). My Internal Vacuum System is not functional anymore, so I don't need any of that crap. I am goin to run a Filter on the PVC opening in the back of the Drivers side Valve Cover to have it breathe there, instead of sucking Oil in the Intake.

Edit: I changed the Vacuum setup, I have a functioning PCV System, elimated the EVAP System, and the Brake Booster is still there.

You have to run a vacuum hose from the fuel tank to the intake (for the vent), but other than that the booster hose is all I'm using as well. Just block off all the PCV hookups an put a breather in the valve cover.

If I eventually want AC wouldn't I have a couple more lines to hook up? I'm still debating if I want AC or not though as my true daily has it and it would make things MUCH MUCH easier to work on..

You will need to hook up the Vents, and I don't know if there is one that goes to the Compressor..I know the one that goes there goes to the Vacuum Ball.

Hey Merv, will you shoot me a quick diagram of your fuel connections under the rear of the car. I'm pretty sure the feed and the return have the "clip" fittings and the vent is the clamped one. I just wanted to make sure I have it right. Fuel Feed and Return go to the back of the Vette filter/regulator and the vent needs a vacuum hose clamped on and ran to the side of the intake correct?

I am actually doin all that under the Hood with that Filter/Regulator. The 2 go into it, and the one out goes to the Fuel Rails. I had to do a little modification..if you can wait a week I'll take a pic, cause that is when it will be all hooked up.

All my stuff arrived from Nate @ Nasty today. I am doing mine this week sometime. I too am using the Vette "combo" filter.

+2. Seems like the easiest way for these cars unless you plan to replumb the whole system.

Yeah, I figured. Nate @ Nasty hooked me up with EVERYTHING I needed. The Vette filter/regulator, 15' of -6an braided fuel line, LS1 disconnect fitting, male-male fitting, male-female disconnect for the filter, 2 sets of hose ends, etc. I think it ended up being like $100 for everything. I can't complain at all.

I'm hoping to fire it Saturday.

Well..I ran into a minor delay with it, one of my Main Cap Bolts had a stress crack in it, and when I was doing my Torque Sequences it broke off in the Block. I got it out no problems, but that stops me from building it up any further. I was planning on having the complete Shortblock done by tonight.

Lookin' good man!

Did you have any port work done on your L92's or are they stone stock? I'm seriously thinking about going with L92/L76 setup.

I left them Stock..they flow damn good the way they are, and I am not that big of an Engine to where that would help right now. It should go like hell as it is..

No doubt it'll be a beast as-is, but the exhaust side on those L92's leaves some hp on the table IMO.

If I do end up going with the L92 setup, I'm probably going to clean up the exhaust side a bit. Should be relatively easy to get another 20-30cfm from it.
