Mind if I ask what's missing? I have a 66 waiting to do a VintageAir setup pretty soon.

Kevin are you running a powertrax unit? I had one in my '69 Camaro pace car for awhile but ended up pulling it out. It seemed to chatter in tight turns. I bought an eaton 3 series to replace it but it's still in the box (going to use it on the chevelle now). I ended up finding a 12 bolt 3:55 posi at a swap meet that was even date code correctly for the Camaro.

Kevin you can but an aftermarket shifter setup for an overdrive trans ,or if you have a shifter there is a kit that you can buy to modify yours.you can also buy the plastic overdrive piece that goes into the shift indicator lens.I bought the aftermarket shifter and used a B&M shifter cable ( 6 foot ). With that said I spent a lot of time mocking the whole thing up, where the console screws to the shifter -the holes didnt line up so i had to weld some additional metal for it to line up correctly and have enough room for the shifter handle to move completly from begining to end. also as it is now ,there is not enough throw on the shifter to get the trans into 1 st gear - not a big deal better that than not getting it into park. I can get you some pics later in the week . JOHN .p s what size wheels/tires are you running up front? any clearance issues?

I don't understand. Are you asking for a console or a shifter? or both?

Kevin, Here's the link to shiftworks that has the kit to convert an original shifter to handle the 4L80. Rumor is the 4l80 isn't shown on their site but they carry one specific to it. http://www.shiftworks.com/chevelle.htm#64-67chevelle

John, Have you played with the mount point on where the cable connects to the tranny shift arm? Wouldn't that change the travel distance for the shifter? Did you get the kit for the 4L80? Did it come with a matching arm for the transmission?

Ted
