Thanks for all the support guys. Hopefully, it should be on the ground rolling by x-mas, then we just need to finish the tin work and wiring.

On a sidenote, anybody around san jose, california want to help me out with a cam /valve spring swap?? I've never done one before and dont want to ruin my engine. I have all the parts. Can't afford to pay much, but i'll have plenty of beer!

Cam and springs on an LS based motor is as easy as it comes. All you need is basic tools, a piece of angle iron and an adapter to pu air in the cylinders. If you pull the rockers and push rods out and roll the motor over like 8 times, the lifter guides will hold the lifters up out of the way and you can just slide the cam out. No need to pull the heads or anything. Even the rockers are just torque and go, no adjustment needed. G

Rack and pinion from a datsun 240z, with a steering quickener. No room for power steering, but should'nt be too much of an issue in a ~2,000 lb car.

how about looking into a manual rack from a mustang II. Also look into a sweet rack from the sprint car world. They have ones fairly cheap and they have ones that are 8:1, 10:1 and 12:1 . They also have units with center mounted tie rods for better bump steer control. just a thouoght. I am going to have to find something like that for my datsun 610 ls project.

Nice! I love wagons and would have rather use one for the LS1 turbo build but I got this one off my brother in law just for fixing his 66 Volvo 122 sedan. It has 59 K on it and will probably get a chassis like your Triumph.

Power House L18 auto! Stand back, 58hp on tap!

This is what we are hoping for!
