Not tying to be an ass by any means. But the car needs a driver mod BAD. Any vid i've seen of ur car had pauses between shifts; keep that right foot planted!!!
Pretty much what everyone else said....longer burnout, lower tire pressure, leave a lil higher in RPM's it's not rocket science. Car makes good power so thats the reason the big end was nice, just blowing it down low where it counts.
Good luck.

Somebodies tampon is really dirty in this thread. Sorry you are so bitter that your car runs like a turd man, no need to get all pissy on the internet. I see you think you are a professional drag racer now too LOL.

Spinning definitly has a lot to do with it. I think missing your shift points will do it too.

I hear ya man. THanks for the vote of confidence and constructive criticism.

Dave, Blu, Kevin, you guys are making me laugh at all the shit talk. Feel free to keep it going. Its all good, my thread was shit from the beginning because I was able to drive my car the way it should perform.

Hey Chris, on the driver mod you are right. Just doing the best I can. Not the fastest shifter out there but at least I only missed one shift the entire night and was able to correct quickly enough to partially save the run. Best of all no breakages.

When i had the 383ci i ran 13.1 @ 121 on shitty 295 street tires...its all about traction and getting the 60' time down....im sure youll get there but youll definitely need practice. Goodluck.

Doug,

Practice, Practice, Practice..........It has not changed over the years.........good set of slicks, good gears, and alot of track time will equal great times...........Racing at the track and on the street is like 2 different worlds......you got all the horsepower in the world that you need to run 10's.

Its like any thing else in life the more you do it ( right ) the better it gets........or in this case you get...

Best of luck

Mike

P S in 1970 ran my 69' roadrunner stock 15.5 at 87 miles a hour........after going to the track every wednesday night i was running 14.3 at 95 miles a hour. Rebuilt motor with cam, headers, high rise holley, 4.10 gears and recap slicks, I was running 12.90's at 109 mph.........with a lot of practice. have patience big guy.

You are one bitter man I tell ya. I've got 35+ time slips with 1.5x 60's on the same setup. How many do you have again? Oh I forgot you care more about bragging about how many runs you have vs actually running worth a crap. You are a joke man, glad you finally showed your true colors.

30 fricken five ??? I burt up 3 clutches to get thirty five - 1.47 to 1.53 sixty foot times. Quit bragging for christ's sake !! I need an Auto in my Z !! If it wasn't so much fun to launch a stick, I would do the change over !! Someting about hitting the floor and wondering if the seat back is gonna break thrills me !!

No trash talking in the NEW THREAD.

Thanks again for all the advice PITT> We'll see if it works. (I'm sure it will, just not sure if I'll be able to do exactly what you told me)

Just relax....and take 5 minutes and think about what happened between each run. Don't do the Pitt and keep doing the same thing each time !!

If I remember right...RobZ said he was running 21-23 psi in his drag radials. I know you will have to heat them good (point your mirror at the rear tire), watch for a good solid cloud of smoke and let off the brake and roll forward letting up on the gas. Be sure to take the slack out of your drive train (by slightly engauging the clutch before release)...I am living proof even bullet proof will break !! Remember...do not slam the peddal to the floor. Slow squeeze to the floor, long slip of the clutch (at the same time). You have too much torque to be too agressive on the gas !! That is how I deal with the torque of my stroker !

Good luck !!
