Congrats David! Did the taller tire help you get thru the end without having to shift into OD?

hunter, i have not run a faster mph pass since putting these tires on, but i guess when i get in good air or whatever it is.. that it will help me get more yea.

i believe i'm totally out of steam on turbo.. only way to get more power is start off with colder air.

Totally awesome. Do you run those tires on the street also? How well do they hold up?

When I saw the thread title, I immediately thought of your car. Thats the ultimate look to me, a car that runs scary numbers that doesn't scream "drag car". You would never expect that car to launch like that.

If I had a random conversation with someone who said they cut 1.3 60's on 17" drag radials and run 8.80's, I'd laugh in their face.
It's almost that ridiculous! Incredible MM. Great job.

I'm assuming you are referring to MT ET radials... Just wanted to specify? I know MT came out with a newer radial style tire as well...

BTW great times and its awesome that you have stuck with such a streetable setup and continue to make improvements that have brought it this far.

That pretty amazing. 8's in a street car is amazing anyway...and to do it on a 17" wheel, thats really wild...

Have you ever gone up against my car before? I swear you were on the other side of the tree at MIR a while ago. When we were in line I asked you what it ran and you said 9's and I thought to myself "yea right not a stock looking WS6". Man was I wrong cause you made me look like I was going backwards at 100+mph! I was driving an Silver 2000 M Coupe and I came up and talked to you after the complete massacre.

You may have been at Pontiacs in the Park as well last weekend there was a WS6 there that I saw run that was just as fast as your car and looked exactly like yours. I was up there because my father-in-law had his 69 and 79 firebirds there, so that is why I was up there on Saturday.
