Default Buddy saw a new Challenger at track!

A service tech that I work with has a few Mopars and he went out to our local track(Thompson Drag Raceway) last night...Grudge Night and there were some pretty quick cars there. One was a brand new Challenger. He talked to the owner. The owner said he took the car to the track 3 days after he picked it up from the dealer and it ran 13.1 BONE STOCK. He put longtube headers, full exhaust, and K&N complete air induction kit and went 12.5; then through on a 100 shot nitrous via a ZEX kit and it now runs 11.6. These times are at our crappy Thompson track. We have am awesome track but its about 2 hours away...NORWALK DRAG RACEWAY (I think the name changed to SUMMIT MOTORPORTS PARK). NORWALK (SUMMIT MOTORPORTS PARK) is known to be 2-5 tenths quicker then the shitty THOMPSON DRAG RACEWAY. There was also a Chrysler 300 there running 11.8 with nitrous!

If it was an SRT8 Challenger then those are normal times.

I just saw a challenger at the track running mid 10's but i dont know what his setup was. Another day there was a challenger there running 11.50's with a procharger. I wouldn't sleep on them at all.

Having said that chances that you'll run into a SRT8 Challenger on nitrous of FI is slim so go out there and kill them.

THOMPSON RACEWAY PARK is far from a crappy track especially on Saturday nights, the track crew does a great job and track has real teeth. Wednesday nights aren't the best because the rice grinders spinning thru the line and the amount of dirt and junk left on the line from inconsiderate "racers".

The only reason a car runs quicker at SUMMIT MOTORSPORTS PARK when comparing apples is because SMP's elevation is about 800ft. lower than TRP's and that isn't but a few hundreths difference.
