I'd never do a swingout to be honest. First time you lean on that bar while it's swung out on a 6 pt setup you're gonna rip the floorboard where the plate is welded to it right off.... seen more then one car getting that patched up at various chassis shops.

IF you have a 10 pt in the car and want to do a swingout that's fine, but with a 6 pt, I'd never do it. The bar isn't that big a deal to climb in and out over, just go in the car head first and then plop in the seat, and when you get out ya go ass first out and it's pretty easy.

i love my swing outs! i dont see any way possible for me to climb in if they didnt swing! but then again i am 6'2" and weigh 300lbs so.. being limber enough to pull off such a move with a big stock steering wheel in my way... just doesnt happen.

so swing outs totally worth it for the big guys

Yeah that's another one, window net is a pita with a swingout on a 10 pt.

I'm 6'3 280 and I have absolutely ZERO problems getting in and out of my car with no swingout in the car. If you can't get in and out of the car at your size.. that means one of 2 things, either A you need to go on a serious diet, or B you haven't tried going on over the bar the right way.

If it weren't for having to undo the window net I'd be able to jump in and out of my car as fast as I could with no cage in it at all. Now if you're talking about a 25.5 with the X in the door bar, and the seat is moved back and you have a custom column that's a different story.

Kirkey 41700 pro street seats, mounted on the back to stock seat studs with a couple washers on each stud so the thing isn't digging thru the cover into my bum. They gave me a good bit more room for the helmet to get away from the cage. And like I said, I"m 6'3 280 lbs and I fit in the 17 inch seat fine. It's tight, but I would rather be tight in the seat of a race car.

I wish I was that size. My junk would already be in the high 9.30's in stead of bottom 9.50's LOL.

Don't get a smaller wheel... just get a removable one. Makes for a killer good security system, turn the wheels and pull the steering wheel off.. good luck stealing the car now LOL.

custom bent to clear my kirkey and my door panels.
glad it was right the 1st time.

this is in a 3rd gen. my pass side door bar actually has 2 bends in it, whereas the drivers only has one "kink."
the shape of the floor pan, and the different mounting of the seat really played a roll.
i didnt want my passengers knees to be in the dash, so the bar had to be routed a lil different when the seat was moved to the rear compared to the drivers.

Mine were done without being slung low, but they do swing out and are removable.
I'm 6'3 265 and I climb over just fine, although I usually leave them out of street driving.
(I prefer not to rip dress pants trying to get out of my car when I get to work)
