It's a 28x10.5. It would be easier to put the 28x9 on it due to it being skinnier. The 9" tire will fit completely in the quarters. The 10.5 will not with out mini tubbing it.

just clearing it up for others who may think this applied to a TH350/400 type trans. Hate to see them pop a trans for not knowing that your post was glide specific.
It's cool. That is why I said " 2nd gear (high gear) ". But, either way, we good. I know what you meant, and hopefully everyone else knows what we meant For those that may or may not:
If you have a 3 spd auto, start in 2nd and grab 3rd (high gear) to get wheel speed going. If you have a underpowered car (like a stock motor) that may have a hard time getting a taller tire going in 2nd, you can start in 1st if you like, just get tires going quick and grab 2nd as quick as you can and then 3rd (high)
2 spd (glide) start in 1st, grab 2nd (high gear).
You want to get your tire speed as high as possible as quick as possible for as short as possible
