Default 12.6@104 for Bolton LT1

Hey everyone, I need some suggestions to help push my car to the 11's with boltons. I just put in a 3600 converter, bringing me to 12.6 Im on stock suspension all around, so would shocks be next? The car cuts a 1.67 60' I still need to add 1.6 rockers, EWP and a ported TB. What do you guys think?

at that power level I am not sure you will get much better than a 1.67
My best bolton was 12.52@108
do the power mods first
change the valve springs and do 1.6 roller rockers next imo
tb is a waste of money and the ewp is worth while maybe 3-4 rwhp from that

There have been a few bolt-on LT1s in the 11s and I'm pretty sure they were all hitting in the 1.5 60' range. I've pulled a best of 1.65 with traction problems and I only have a 3000 stall.

Other than that I agree 100% with Dave.

Yes you should at least start with a decent set of adjustable front shocks, do the LT4 springs when you do the 1.6 rockers, and the E-water pump. I agree the t-body is a waste of money as I still run the stock one and don't see the airflow need for anything bigger at this level. Your 60' times are pretty good, and more seat time and tweaking can get them even better, but as stated above not too far off of cars at this level...

And weight reduction and more suspension work are the next big things after those are done, I was in the 12.3's before I started pulling a lot of weight out like the AC and stuff...

Pretty much the car has...
Pacesetter LT's
Custom 3" duals with an h-pipe and bullets dumped at the rear.
K/N CAI
3.73's
Circle D 3600
Weight reduction...
No pass, backseats.
Carpet
A/C
AIR/EGR
Front/Rear bumper supports
Summit sportlites 15x3.5 15x8 165/80/15 275/50/15.

Not sure on the raceweight, My track is GIR which is 407ft above SL. It was about 75 and humid from rain about 30min earlier before that pass.

I crunched the numbers. The DA was 1700, the corrected time would have been 12.42@106

im shifting at 6000rpms. looks like we run about the same times. and have almost the same mods. expect im about 150lbs heavier and have stock 3.23 gears. honestly im thinking RR's, weight reduction. and suspension mods would benefit both me and ur times.

i see u have the circle D 3600, i have the Yank SS3600 i think thats like the only difference mod wise in our cars lol. im guessing urs launches harder with that converter, but mine has a bit more top end and they about equal out. but i have heard great things from circle D converters as well as Yank's

I may try dropping my shift points down alittle then. Im getting SFC's and a anti-roll drag bar soon.

Any ideas for ways around having to buy drag brakes, I dont want to drop 900 quite yet. I know our brakes suck bad though.
