So close to 11's.. what to upgrade? Time slip inside
Current mods 2002 ss
PST drive shaft (broke the stocker in 2)
Moser axles (broke the stock drive one)
Textralia z grip clutch package, replaced the slave cl.. etc
Lid
Mt drag radials
Pacesetter LTs with cats
gmmg catback
I cannot get the car to cut a 1.7, If I cut a 1.7 i'm there.. 11's are so close and the car is soo strong for what it is no one believes me when I tell them what is done. So to me I feel the car is running pretty good since soo many are impressed, I've been told that I am spraying and its not true at all. What do you guys suggest I do? Suspension work? I launch the car around 3800-4k, stock 3.42's. Should I go higher on the launch and just slip it? I only want to upgrade parts into the 4-500 range, not looking to spend 1k just to get 11s for my goal. Its possible, very possible check the slip. a 1.827, if I cut a 1.75 and drive correctly its there. ehh so close

Sorry man, I don't know how I missed that. MPH still seems awfully high. I wont call bs though. If you said you were doing this with only a lid then I would have to lol.
I would say pull the spare and jack out, as well as the back seats. Wait for some damn good air and you should be able to get it. Other than that 4-500 wont get you a whole hell of a lot.

Replace the gears. You can do it for that if you set it up yourself.

Hey man that car is running good. I would try launching the car a little higher and slipping the clutch. I cut 1.6 60's last year with my 3.42 geared 10 bolt and ZERO suspension work.
I can't does that have poly motor mounts I don't think I did them when I put the headers on for Dave. I know I put motor mounts on the Firehawk he bought after he sold you the SS
There is a rental at Cecil on Nov 14th should be some good air. You should come up then
so.. a quick mod that may help me get out of the hole better? I'm on MT et streets btw. I hear of guys cutting 1.7's with them, if i cut a 1.6 id be better then 11.90s.
I'm not looking to spray the car right now, maybe next season, plus that would be way too easy for 11's lol a sneaky pete would do it. No one thinks some high rate springs in the back would help drastically? What about an off road Y taking out the cats?

Did you ever get the car tuned. I don't know that Dave did. I cut my 1.6 60' on 274 40 17 ET street radials. I found slipping the clutch gave me my best results last year before the rear and suspension work
ok here is my consensus.. The car hooks nice but doesnt get out of the hole as i would like it to. I know gears in a 10 bolt is like playing with fire. I'm starting to want 4.10s, just affraid of getting burnt. Not like I havent broke anything before though.

well I probably wont have to bring the rpms up as high. Plus if I slip the clutch I may ok on the gears. Its unlikely for me to blow them on the 1-2 shift correct? Cause that rips with this z grip clutch i have.

Notes 3.23:1 or numerically higher carrier. Not for use on 1999 and up F-bodies if it has the factory torsen positraction, unless you purchase a special split paddle block kit. Richmond does not recommend use with a mini-spool.
Not sure if my fbody has a torsen positract? eh, when it says 3.23:1 or numerically higher carrier, that means a 3.42 would be ok for the carrier? Confused
