I found a good deal on a 12 bolt from a 3rd gen as well, And was wondering the back spacing for a 8 inch wide wheel to fit under the wheel wells and not stick out at ALL on my 98 Z28?
Also if I chose to use a 10 inch wide wheel for the track, What should the back spacing be??
Any Help?
Thanks in advance!

James

my question relating to this is...... i have 305-35-18s on 10.5"x18" Z06 wheels on my '01 Z w/ 10 bolt, does anybody know the spacing on these, i will probably go with a 3rd gen rear b/c i have also seen several good deals on them, i knew they would bolt in and that they were narrower, but didnt know how much, i'm changing to 15s all around, the wheels i want are only available with dish, just need to find out how much b.space i need so they will clear the same as the 18s......... any help is greatly appreciated

i run a 28x12.50 with 6.5bs on a 15x10 rim. the "typical" thirdgen spacing would be 5.5bs but i wanted to hack out my wheelhousing to tuck the slicks even more.

thirdgen rear is almost 2" narrower than 4th gen

I put a 4th gen on my thirdgen and its about 3.5-3.625" wider OVERALL which means 1.75 or so wider per side

nice i also have a set of 28x11.50 ET drags i'm going to try out as well if I don't sell them. Those mud bogs were sweet on the street with the spool though. I took the slick pics way back with mike when we put over 50 miles on the car that one day for our photo shoot.

I have a 9" (3rd gen width) that I'm putting in my 4th gen, I didn't want all the backspacing that the 4th gen rear has. Couldn't beat the price either.
