Or, no power adder!!! Wouldn't that be fun? Non-blower Cobra against LS1?? Hmmmm.....then "we" would be accused of cheating and not playing fair. Awww.......

BOC has not gotten back to me about racing in Memphis, so I'm not sure if that's going to happen. Let's assume not unless they give me a definitive answer. We will be racing there regardless in one or two classes.

shouldnt matter what the car has done to it, long as its in the same ballpark ET wise. some people/cars can do more w/ less, so be it. good race = similar ETs, not similair builds. just my opinion

Ok, none of you know me because honestly im not active on ls1tech. Fankly being, because i don't have an LS1 (although i WILL when i can). Maybe that makes my opinion not matter here.. who knows, all i drive is a 3800 anyway.

Anyway I respect the decision to race for the cash or not race at all because so what IF you win a pos car? Then what? You put the car at risk (no matter how small a risk) of breaking something all for a crappy car? And if you've seen PINKS before its obvious the faster car doesnt always win. The way the show is you can come with a piece of crap car because of this negotiation crap. So you beat them by 20 lengths, next race they ask for 20 lengths and Rich and the other guys lean towards making it "fair". Being faster doesnt mean you will always win, and i see no point in racing something because you should win, if the prize is a crappy rustang. If the race would've been for the 20 grand it would be different.

And I mean no disrespect to anyone who's opinion may be different.. Just stating my own opinion. I agree with the decision that was made.

I didn't know Rich could possibly get ANY MORE DRAMATIC than he already was. He thinks arm dropping a race is a sport or something.

LMFAO, good stuff. I can't believe I ever thought that THAT SHOW was cool. I always knew there was a lot of BS involved but thought the guys at least seemed to put on a good show. What a F'in cornhole.

He carries himself like he's the biggest cock in the yard, too. I was trying not to laugh at him when I saw him face to face in Kansas City. He's maybe all of 5'7" tall, lol.

Someone from the industry asked me for the 30 second summary.. here you go....

-I emailed the show 2 yrs ago, pitched a gm message board vs ford message board race concept.
-Show contacted me 1.5 years later with a ford opponent, a shop car but very web active... blue oval corral in tampa.
-boc dropps out 1.5 weeks before the race, show swaps in a '87 carbed mustang that's supposedly 10.2's on motor and has a big kit on it.
-we were supposed to bring a 10.5 combo, and the description was that we would probably run both cars in 10.5 trim otherwise it's really hard to get good looking races for tv.
-i had a lot of concerns, but it was so close, and folks had take time off and booked flights, so we showed up.
-other car was much much built than our car... they had a 414ci windsor or something and a big nitrous kit... and the car itself was real rough.
-i asked our show liason to make the race fair because we did not want to run a junky old car. they did not agreed to take off the nitrous off the other car, so the other car always had the opportunity to spray and put 10-15 cars on us. that was not going to work.
-i asked the other racers, after this talk with the show guy in the morning, if the other racers would do a 5k buyback... meaning whomever loses pays the other side 5k and keeps their car. they were not interested, not cooperative, whatever. i have no problem with that, they were an alternate and thrilled to be going on tv... the desire to be on tv was not as big by the time we got there, so in the end we were not probably as starstruck as most folks are who get on the show...
-show liason texted me and booted us. the end.
-i contacted boc after the fact and they had canceled because they ran out of money for the car...
-i tried to set up a race with them at the lsx shootout but after two good calls, they have stopped getting back to me, so it shows that they don't have their crap together, and ultimately lots of the bs of the race falling apart is their fault.

there you go!

we built a good car, and were not going to race some junk car that ended up being for sale for 6k on racingjunk after they raced a mean turbo 'bu.

later peeps!
