I've seen the front end push in at 110-120 mph without bracing.

burkhart makes a brace for the front ends now. still saves wait and the shape of the nose.

An experienced mechanic should know what your car has to have to run and what it doesn't. (It's not confusing at all.) Some people may find a lighter or more effective way to make a certain part of their car work, so I think it's a good idea to put everything on the list for informational purposes.

LT1 Specific

Installation of Speed inc Alternator relocation kit with PS removal.

Total 18.815Lbs

Brake down

Entire Speed inc kit with only 1.925 Lbs with the belt and all the fasteners.

All the stock parts removed including fluid came to 20.74Lbs.

Also picked up ALOT of space on Passenger side.

Not bad for a few hours work.

I would like to thank Larry and the guys at Speed Inc for the great part!

I just weighed my 17x9.5" ZR1s with 26x11.50 17 ET Streets and came out to 46.2lb a piece (no tubes)

I then weighed my 15x10 weld pro stars with 28x10.50 tires (have tubes) they came out to 42 lbs a piece. I need to pull my 17x11 ZR1s with a 315/35R17 M/T E/T Street Radials on them and weigh them.

I looked at the list and I found out that I can drop about 103 lbs off the car this winter and maybe drop another 100 lbs out of the car going with a chromoly fab 9" from my strange 12 bolt that I have now.

cheapest weight reduction is to go on a diet and exercise. I want to drop 60 lbs off of my body.

I relocated the Battery to the Back, that's a good way to drop 40lbs off the Front and put it in the Back to help you.

what does a stock LS1 SS hood weigh? (withOUT hinges, latch, shocks and brackets)
curious as to it compared to a VFN pin on.

also any idea on what a SS (or even z28) spoiler weighs? 3rd brake light and all?

I don't see a listing for the TCS motor. I removed mine last weekend, but haven't weighed it. I doubt it's much... maybe 3-4 lbs.
