10e.A-Arms (BMR mild steel)
13e.A-Arms (stock)
38..Catback system (Hooker) lose 38 pounds?
3...Chromoly LCAs
3/9.Carbon fiber driveshaft 3/9?huh?
14..Chromoly A-arms like the post stated above you lose 14lbs! by going chomoly instead of the mild steel at 3lbs? are these bmr also?

25..Chromoly K-member
so 42lbs off nose for chromoly lca,a-arms,k mem?
Most of the weights on the list are the actual part weight; so you would take the stock part off your car, weigh it, then look up the new part you are replacing, subtract the 2 numbers and that's how you see how much weight you saved.

My bmr k member is 25 lbs I weighed that on a digital scale, my stock one with brackets was 55lbs, so a solid 30lb drop.

I'm not sure where that number came from.

I had one fabbed up earlier this year
Steel VS Cromoly rollbar?

The mild-steel one I was going to use weighed in around 67lbs
The CM one I had fabbed up weighed only 39.2lbs, and that included both swing-outs.

I guess I dont understand this one. What is the difference? I see a 3lbs between plastic and steel factory tanks on the list. I'm pretty sure my LT1 has a steel tank.

^^^ yup, from 98 to 99 they switched to a plastic tank thats about a gallon bigger, reasons were emissions related.

I understand that, but how would it save 18lbs. One is listed 20, the other 23.

The plastic fuel tank on some 98-99 cars weighs 18 lbs. That's what this means. The weight listed is not what lbs. you save but what the actual part weighs itself. Then you would subtract your new part weight from the number to find weight savings.

Ah, because further up the plastic is listed differently. Anyways, if it does weight 18 and the steel is 23, !5lbs.

Plan to spend about 2000 bucks for the brakes, manual master cylinder, brake lines, and ABS delete block. Knock about 400 off for just the brakes.

The rear brakes are supposed to be on the back side of the rotor according to the instructions.

how much does the entire rear hatch weigh with glass????

I'm considering running the VFN fiberglass hatch with a speedglass drop in window....

I think the hatch and the glass (VFN and lexan) is like 18 lbs total... the steel hatch and glass has gotta be like 150 lbs...

I don't know how much it weighs, but the stock hatch is fiberglass. The majority of the weight is the glass itself. There is a firebird hatch across the street from where I work with the glass busted out. I'll see if I can walk over and weigh it tomorrow. I would say a firebird and camaro hatch are close to the same weight and a TA is a solid 40lbs more than both. I've removed all three types and the TA hatch is a heavy sucker.
