Default Va Speed 402

This is our basic 402 street package-nothing exotic,Eagle crank and rods,Mahle flattop pistons,TFS 235's by TEA,custom cam,ls7 lifters,Fast 92 with PTM 92mm tb.Car is an 02 Camaro SS,1 7/8 Hooker longtubes,Hooker Catback(this dyno was with cutout open)4l60e trans with ATI 3800 stall,10 bolt rear. Some fueling issues were causing us to go lean on the top end preventing max hp-the customer is to return shortly after the new year to fix the fueling issues and i will be porting the intake. This engine has a rather small cam(240-244),i was more concerned with a flat torque curve rather than peak hp,this car is a true daily driver.
I would like to give thanks to Ed from the Hp Factory for getting the most from this combo, and i look forward to working with him more in the future.

I wouldn't call TEA TFS 235cc heads "nothing exotic", but that is one stout set up period. I would be thrilled with it.

The reason i say nothing exotic is due to the fact everything short of the cam is off the shelf parts that i literally bolted together.I consider it exotic when i have to do a bunch of custom stuff and use a bunch of custom parts.

Quick question , why the TFS 235s , and not the 225s? And do you think there would be a power difference between the two?

I liked the runner size alot better on the 235's,i have some other reasons as well but i'm not going to give everything away. There would be a power difference between the two,not sure what it would be.

Thanks for the props Shawn.
And yes, we'll be working together on several projects in the next couple months. It's a mutual effort to combine 2 of the best shops in the Mid Atlantic area.

Good job considering the fuel issues, unported intake, and car is an AUTO !!!!!

You'll probably pick up another 20 rwhp considering you are using tfs 235's

Sending you a PM do I don't hijack your thread in anyway.

Hey Shawn, thanks for the detailed answer / comments to my PM.

Can't wait to see what the car does once the fuel issues are corrected and the intake is ported. Should be even scarier. Good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
