Well I went to this small dyno day and its a land and sea dyno so I wasnt gonna strap the camaro down plus it was pushing 100 degrees. But I did anyways...
The car when I bought it was supposed to be at 420hp/395tq cutout closed and 430hp/405tq cutout open... To my surprise the car made 428hp/405tq cutout closed and 451hp/430tq cutout open I was shocked only because those dynos are supposed to read lower numbers but mine were higher. Now for the catch my buddies mustang was previously dynoyd at 578hp and the new numbers were 572hp so he was happy too and took top honors with me right below him... Considering the number of cars being around 12 and the majority of them being ricers!!!
I will scan my graph and attach it once I get back home from my business trip.
My mods are in my sig and any input on this would be greatly appreciated
I take it phil was out with you. Those are really strong numbers. have you had it at the track yet?
No Phil had already left to go to DH10 I herd that Nissan had free dyno pulls so I went to check it out... turned out it was a free BBQ and car show but like stated I really didnt to put the car on it just cuz the weather and they have very little experience with V8 cars.. But hey after what the car put down it didnt matter!!! No it has not been to the track since it was stock with the previous owner... It will make a pass here soon it needs some tranny work then ill run it!!! hope the rear holds
First off numbers! but!!
For some reason, 450/430 numbers out of a 346 seem a little odd....
To me, that looks like numbers from a bigger cubed motor than a 346cid with the TQ being so close to the RWHP. Ive seen 346's with (ETPs, TFS & AFRs) make 430TQ but their RWHP was always 470-500, I dont know.
Further proof that flowmaster sucks.
They sound good though.
BTW, I bet that you either have ported heads or the
dyno was mis-calibrated. I've never seen a stock cube
engine with unported heads make that much power
without nitrous or forced induction.
Great numbers. Do you have any track numbers with the old hp numbers to compare with next time you run it at the track?
Thanks... no track times it was said to go 13.0 Stock but not since the cam install

It is a stock cubed motor and the heads are just LS2 243s from a vette they are supposed to be bone stock... originally car dynoed when tuned at 430hp/405tq and that was the only other time it was dynoed. but like stated my buddies mustang wasnt but a couple hp lower that when previously dynoed so I dont know

Heads are not ported to my knoledge or the previous owners.. it is stock cubed and no power adders!!!
Is it a M6 or A4 car? Even for a M6 thats alot for those mods. Im not sayin it aint possible but basically your sayin that your heads/cam choice alone netted you like a 100HP gain no special tricks included...IDK. And 20+HP from opening some cutouts sounds like alot too. I say try another dyno that does mainly mustangs/F-bods etc. Thats why i always vid my dyno sessions too. Ill hold the verdict for some charts tho!

Ok so you finally deside to chime in... just tell it like it is the car is strong... Im not trying to post bogus numbers!!! just trying to get some input and feed back from others.. as soon as I get a chance to spend more that a day and a half home I will scan and post the dyno charts... jon you have one of the charts from that day can you post it?.. cuz i wont be home till late fri...
throw it on Roys dyno, that is kind of a tell tell sign of what the car makes- and the times people run usually reflect the power they make at his dyno.
Who cares about dyno numbers as long as it rides out.
