Great job. Those are right in line with my numbers for the DA. I think there are 9's in it when you finish it out and gear it. What track was that at?

How do you like the Jesel Mowhawks? Do you think they give you any thing over the Yella Terra's?

We were at Mooresville.

The Jesel's are very nice rockers. Very light tip unlike the Yella Terras. You get what you pay for pretty much. I hope it gets down in the low 10s with some good air and the new gear. We will be at rockingham on the 29th doing some tnt with the car, you should bring yours out too.

I wish I could come out but I had to sell my ride. It is sitting in a garage in Florida now. You can see my times in +500 air at Fayetteville. That was when the car had 550/505rw. I think I only went 104-105 in the 1/8 at the Rock in +3,500 air. So with a gear (I wouldn't go any lower than 3.90's personally) and a 1.4x 60ft I think 9's are possible with a -1,500 day that happens all the time in the winter around here. My best 60ft ever was a 1.51 and you guys were almost there the first night out. I also think your combo will go 590rw or so when all the bits and peices are hammered out. That's enough to get you there. Good luck with it.

590 rwhp N/A 402, makes me feel a little embarrassed. Best of luck on all your upcoming plans.

First off, nice setup. It sounds really impressive and puts down the number for sure.

Any pics or more info on the rockers?

Google Jesel Pro J2K Series Shaft Rockers. That will give you the pics and info you need. They are a little on the $$ side.

No EWP, cut outs, bigger manifold/TB, perfect the intake track, SD tune with MAF removed, I am sure it already has a UD but you get the picture. I just don't think it is maximized yet and it is still a fresh motor.

Don't feel bad about your motor Doug. You did pretty well with your set up. I know you are happy. This just gives you some direction when you decide to get a little more power.

MAF has been gone the whole time. It is actually setup as 2 bar sd so I can get some VE resolution since it is a 98 pcm.

Thanks man, I was just talking trash. Nick's car is truly sick though !!! Different pistons and I'd have been pushing some bigger numbers too. Oh well, you are right, I have no complaints. Just here to give it up to Nick and his rediculously powerful 402. Any chance this thing might kiss 600 rwhp when everything is said and done? That would be a long shot I bet, but I'm pulling for ya. The heads definately flow enough to produce the numbers.

I would be really suprised if it goes over 580 myself, but you never can tell. Maybe I should try some C16 in it.

I thought you were porting the intake, adding a larger TB, and possibly an EWP ?? Porting alone should give you the 580. We'll see, good luck.

I do plan on doing all that. I just will be suprised if all makes more than 10hp.

It all depends on if the intake tract is a restriction at this point. I'm sure they've already done some data scanning and if the map sensor drops below ambient pressure during the run (vacuum), then there are gains to be had somewhere in the intake tract. If not, then porting and going up in throttle body size might not yeild anything.
Again, I'm sure they've already looked at the data.

Well good luck Nick. I am just trying to be optimistic. I've seen EWP's gain 3-12 rwhp, and even a few gain ZERO, also porting adds a good bit, but as Alchemist pointed out if theres no restriction, then theres no gain. So many people gain by porting on milder smaller builds (346 h/c cars) I am hoping the port work yields some results considering its a pretty aggressive 402

I just got to see that beast dyno today with about 20 other people. It pulled 570rwhp and 510rwt. No doubt I was amazed.. Great work by the guys at Williams.

OT:

Nick I spoke with Alvin and he said somehow my car slipped into the low octane tune which is 16-18 degrees. He said my 93 octane tune was 25-28 degrees so it looks like I either got some garbage gas or its detecting some false knock somewhere. Thanks for toying with it today and let me know when you plan to head the track 1/4 as I want to see that "budget " 402 run.

Matt

Took the car to the track again tonight. 2700+ ft DA and still backed up the 6.84 pass with a 6.88 at 103 with a 1.54 60'. We will have some 1/4 mile numbers next weekend. The car will also have a new set of tires and we will do a little adjusting on the suspension so hopefully that will get the 60' down a little more.

I would think a ported FAST... opened up to 96mm with a NW 96 would be a nice addition (I dunno if the FAST 90 can be opened up to 96 like the 92). I don't know what kind of intake you run in front of it, but the Halltech Killer Bee can be setup for the C5 with it's 103mm intake track or a VaraRam Powerduct to get a 4" inlet.

That would be worth a good 10rwhp at least and a solid 10-15rwtq across the range. Every little bit helps.
