Default aparently you can make good power porting a FAST

intake. I cant tell you how many times Brian and I have thought many of the ported FAST numbers we have seen were inflated.....well, now we are believers.

We had a customer ask us to port his FAST 90 intake. we were hesitant because we didnt want a disapointed customer, so we made him a deal. If the car made over 5 rwhp he would owe us 50.00 for the dyno time....if it didnt make power, he would only owe us for our time pulling the intake and doing the port work.

Well, we were amazed at the end results.

The first pull was Friday, the after pull was this morning.

NOTHING was changed in the tune between pulls. If anyone wants to call B.S. I really dont have a problem with it because Im having a hard time believing the results at this point myself.

For years I've always been a believer of ported FAST intakes, seen it many times on cars I've tuned.

I'm surprised that you posted about this, are you kinda new to the LSx world?

Great numbers, what car and what are all the mods?

no Im not new at all. my business partner has been building them for 12 years or so......but we just opened a year and a half ago and have only had a dyno for that long. we just dont always believe everything we read on the internet.....and im sure there will be people that see this and think we are making it up too.

we pretty much just always refused to port them because we didnt want an upset customer because of mediocre results.

Im glad we finally decided to do one.

sure....

2002 camaro. FAST 90/90 combo, TCI A4 w/3000 stall, 9 inch, TSP LTs, unsure of cam specs....but its a 230/232 or in that range.....

we didnt do the build on the car. we just ported the intake and tweaked in the tune.

wow. you made 18 whp from going to a fast to a ported fast. how long did it take you?

looks like going from a ls1/ls6 to a ported fast would make some very nice gains.

congrats on the nice numbers

Totally understand, I'm sure you will be porting more of them in the near future!

Good luck and keep up the good work!

not yet. I want to port one or two more and see the results before I start selling port jobs to people.
