After swapping intakes for the last 3 days we finally have some data for you guys. These tests were run 2 different ways, once with a maf in place & the test I'm posting which was speed density. The speed density showed power gains that the 85mm MAF was holding back. As a result I'm only posting the Speed density results. If your getting a upgraded intake you really should consider a 100mm maf or speed density tune to see decent power gains.
Here's a few pics of the intake testing:
Results:
Differences:
For the 2010 guys these results should be pretty close to what they'll see. Using the speed density best simulates the large MAF the LS3 cars ship with!!!
Engine was a stock head LS3 with TSP 233/240 112+2 camshaft.

Good job Jason, we need them clearer if you can. Not the most impressive numbers for a new intake, at least on a small cube engine.
Perhaps some bigger engines will benefit more from this, the 6.2L and 6.0L look like they work best with intake porting, a 100mm MAF and a cam. Heck a cam, MAF and porting are cheaper if you can do the cam yourself and pay you for the intake porting.
I guess I could just spray mine and call it good or build a bigger engine.

You can see in the pics with the stock intake its def rectangular port aka l92.
So the motor IS at least a 6.0,probably a 6.2 as they come in all the new Vettes and all the high end trucks(Denali,Escalade, etc)
Def need to see how a truck l92 compares though!!!

Thanks for posting and that is EASILY the best price available on this intake.
But I have to ask am I reading it right and making the statement that the gains vs the ported LS3 were minimal under the curve and very marginal above?

Ls3 and l92 are the same head, different intake valves.....at least thats what TEA told me when I ordered my CNC l92's.I did upgrade to the ls3 intake valve
Its still at least a 6.0 as you have to have a 4" or larger bore with the l92 or the l92's with better valves aka ls3.

Ok, it a LS3 6.2L engine, same head castings as the L92 but the LS3 has lighter valves. Is that good enough. I have the L92's, I know the difference.

GM Intake has a 90mm cable TB
FAST Intake has the 102mm FAST TB
Wanted to use the 90 for both to better simulate the LS3 TB but after bolting it on, there was a small spot at the bottom where the larger intake inlet would not seal with the 90mm completely.
I'm pretty sure the MAF was a small restriction, just more apparent with the ported intake and FAST intake.
That doesn't look bad at all. That graph is a little small but it looks like 15 hp at the peak. What can be expected from a stock head/ stock cube engine?

The graph is large, look at the 2nd graph..
Its a difference graph, its easier to see the differences. It basically says:
FAST LSXR: 16.6 ft lb peak gain and 15.20 peak HP gain.
Ported LS3: 11.6 ft lb peak gain and 13.25 peak HP gain.
It also shows the FAST is up about ~10HP and ~10 ft lbs(on average) through the mid range(3600-5500 RPM) over stock LS3 intake. And ~5HP and ~5 ft lbs(on average) over the Ported LS3 in the same area. At the end of the pull both intakes are gaining over the stock one.
Does that help out explaining the 2nd graph and how to read it? Seems like everyone is concentrated on the top graph only trying to read between the lines.

I am really hoping when it is ported, and maybe combined with a bigger tb it wakes it up because even at the great price TSP is offering on the intake it is a lot to pay for 5 under and 5 peak when compared to the ported LS3.
