Maybe by adding a U/D pulley a LS6 intake and LT headers you could gain 25rwhp to put you at 390 which is about perfect for that combo so I'd say your on par. You'd be amazed though by what a LS6 intake and a P/P TB could you along with a U/D pulley you'd get 385 out of your set-up.

I may have misunderstood a couple of folks but I thought they said my '01 vette ls1 intake was the same as a LS6. Is that correct??
Also, would the longtubes help much since my 3" collectors dump directly into 3" pipe all the way back? I'm sure there are better long tube headers out there but I'm on a limited retirie budget.
I'll also consider changing to an u/d pulley this winter when I add heat and air to the car.
Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Longtubes will help, but to get a quality set like Kooks or ARH, im not sure the gains you would see would justify the money spent.
Also, we have done back to back dynoes on the underdrive pulleys and saw a 6 or 7 rwhp gain. (cant remember exactly but it was between 5 and 10 horse)
so they do make power.

Ok Jeff, cleared that up you do have the LS6 intake (duh me) some reason I thought you had a 2000 LS1 motor with the LS1 intake. You would probably see a 5rwhp gain peak with longtubes but more so under the curve I'd think. There was a dyno test done a while back by a sponsor showing the differences between 1 5/8 shorties vs. 1 3/4 longtubes and 1 3/4 shorties vs. 1 7/8's LTs and the gains were pretty nice in the midrange. Jeff you think that by putting a U/D pulley on this car and a 85mm T/B he'd see at least 15rwhp?

possibly. like I said, I know from dyno testing the pulley is worth 7 or so. I think a TB could be worth another 7 or 8 so yeah.....it could happen.
