Finally got a chance to dyno with the new cam today. I am running e85. Motor is an ls1 block with a 4.1" stroke with about 25k miles on it.
TEA 2.5 ls6 heads
11.25:1
Lt's and true duals
Fast 90/90
U/D pulley
Green tops
Cam was speced by Shane at Thunder Racing. It is a 228/235 .643/.648 on a 117.5 using the LSK lobes.
I tuned the car speed density using hptuners. Running 27* timing. Both pulls were within 1 hp.

I am assuming 177.5 was surpost to be 117.5???? Very interesting results!! Did you want a cam that was stealth sounding? I am assuming thats why you went with a 117.5 LSA.

Those are rear wheel numbers. My number with a trex and absolute speed 2.5 5.3 heads were 495 and 478 SAE. There numbers were 502 SAE and I think it was 505 rwtq but I don't remember for sure.

This cam is very mild, especially when you take into account it is over 500 rwhp and rwtq. When it opens up it is pretty aggressive, but not as much as the trex was. It drives nice. Good manner. I can go over speed bumps at 5 mph in 2nd gear with 3.42's. Crank and rods are Eagle and the pistons are Probe. It has between 20 and 25k hard miles.

Damn very nice, still thinking you should tune the track car for me, I know you would go over every inch of it.
Oh, and he is right, I live in the Bay area, and the closest station with E85 is about 30 minutes from me, thats why the track car is getting the e85, not my street car. I know there are more stations closer to him than me, but theres only like 30 in all of northern California.

I went out to the track about 2 months ago, but only got one full run. 12.48 @ 124 with a 2.28 60'. I could finish the next run. My 60' was the same, but my 1/8 time was 3.5 tenths faster. Just need to get this thing to hook then I'll be in business. Still on stock 10 bolt

There is a tread right around this one from PatrickG where a cam only LS2 put down 500rwhp with 23*. I wish I would have been able to play around with the timing on the dyno some, but only got two pulls because it was a dyno day. The first run was with 27* and it put down 518 and the second run was with 28* and it put down 517. I would really like to know how this thing would like 22-24*.

Cops in your area are checking cams specs now? The only way they would know anything is if you're loud and/or not running cats with a raw fuel smell coming out of the car. If you're driving around sans cats, it really doesn't matter what cam you're running if you're looking to avoid detection.
