SOLD! **
I'm selling my
Weld Pro Star lightweight aluminum skinnies in size
15x3.5 with a 5x4.75 bolt pattern for 4th gen F-bodies and other late model GM vehicles.
They are mounted with
165-15 radial tires (good for street use) in excellent shape with no punctures, plugs or patches of any kind in them.
The finish on the rims is good and these will polish up real nicely and can be made to look almost new again with very little work using some Mother's wheel polish or similar product.
The reason for the low pricing is that one of the rims has a small dent on the back part that faces the brakes only (see photo below) but it cannot be seen when on the car. That rim has been that way for years now and rolls straight and true and the tires does not lose any air whatsoever as a result of it.
But here is the ironic part...the
other rim, though visually perfect and free of any dents or dings does give a
slight vibration at over 80mph after having lent the set to a friend for a few days.
I haven't tried to balance it out yet or attempt to dismount/remount the tire in an effort to see if that would help but I simply wanted to disclose all info.
If anyone knows someone in the wheel straightening/truing business this would be an ideal buy for you because I know this will be an
easy fix.
Again, one wheel is visibly (but only lightly) dented on the back but runs straight/true and the other
looks fine but has a minor wobble at higher speeds that might still balance out on a good balancing machine.
These are very light and can potentially reduce one's 1/4 mile ETs by as much as .15+ and increase trap speeds by as much as 1.5mph+ over stock full size front wheels/tires.
Asking only
$175.00 or best offer for the whole set of two wheels with center caps and two tires, the tires alone cost more than that new.
Post in here or PM me with any questions, thanks for looking.
