Default Cam Only LQ4/L92 N/A results

I installed a 2006 LQ4 with off the shelf L92's into a '90 Fox body hatchback.
The shortblock is stock other than ARP rod bolts with the dished pistons.
I am running the single Plane GM carb manifold for the L92's
The cam is a Rapid Motorsports Dominator 2X.
Drivetrain consists of a TH350 and 4.10 gears with 28 inch tires.
Car went 9.95 at 137.20mph with a 1.42 60'ft today at Cecil before being asked to leave......
Need to get the cage certified and buy some new 2 layer threads.
There is moreET in this with some time to experiment with launch RPM to reduce the '60 time.

A big thanks to Mike at rapid Motorsports for the awesome Cam!

Thanks,
Dave

Way to go Dave. Just goes to show what a well engineered combo will do.

I'll have to get down to my "race weight". But to do that I'm going have to stop eating lunch at the deli on Saturdays, and enjoying my favorite adult beverage. Unfortunately I don't see that happening! haha

This one is leaving the line on the 9.95 run.

excuse my ignorance since i know nothing about stangs but was a lot of weight reduction done to get the car that light? camaro's are usually heavier than mustangs right?

i know this mustang guy who likes to always say "it says it in the name Chevy=heavy."

Not alot. a 4 cylinder car weighs 2845 no driver.
The 6.0ls motor, trans and rear does weigh more than the 4cyl pieces.
Just have a race seat for the interior and glass hood and hatch.
Of course the mild steel 10point and my 250lb a$$ don't help!

Default cam...

Ryan it is a custom cam from Mike at Rapid Motorsports called Dominator 2X.
The at .050 numbers are high 230's intake 240's exhaust. I suggest you give him a ring he could taylor something for your combo.

Ryan,
The cam I am running may not be optimal for your combo, It did require flycut of the pistons. Give Mike your specs for your combo and you won't be sorry!, I am not!
